Kakashi can Kamui Kimmimaro for sure, but IF the technique Kimmimaro used on Gaara is already activated before that he's basically dead. The only reason Gaara survived was because he could take to the air. Remember Kimmimaro used it 200 meters below ground. If he's on land there is no escape for Kakashi.

Please, Kimmimaro wasn't even close to being serious with Lee. Had Gaara not shown up that would have been the end of it. If Kimmimaro was healthy Naruto, Rock Lee, and Gaara would have all died that day.
