Kakashi vs Kakuzu

I will admit it's been some time since I did watch the fight, but I know I can vividly picture Ino and Choji getting ready to die to one of the hearts when Kakashi jumps in front of them and deflects the attack using some type of scroll.

Ino and Choji did next to absolutley nothing in this fight. Look at it like this:

Asuma took 3-4 jonin into battle vs just Hidan,

Kakashi took 1 jonin and 2 chunnin (who do nothing but get in the way) vs both Hidan and Kakazu.

Shikamaura might have had Kakazu distracted when Kakashi took out the first heart but I again can vividly remember Kakazu saying something along the lines of:

"Wow I did not sense your presence at all, you must be the Copy nin to pull that off"

or something similar that.

And just because Kakazu fought the first Hokage and lived does not mean he did well in the fight against the 1st, that's just speculation.

Good points...u shuld watch the battle again though it was good and u can watched dubbed version too if u want.

True, Id think Chouji and Ino would get in the way too but in this fight Kakashi never had to save them He was usually running and dodging the hearts. Ino and Chouji did not need kakashi to save them this fight they helped distract at least 2 of the hearts. U won't believe me if u dont rewatch or your mind will trick u into kakashi saving them.

My opinion on this is 1st Chouji and Ino are stronger then the 2 "jounins" in my view and remember Naruto is still a genin so don't rely on that too much.
2nd They had no idea of Hidan's ability and this shows u how strong Hidan is (many ppl underestimate him but if u dont know his ability he is a big threat to kill off a super strong ninja).
3rd Upon knowing Hidan's ability Shika had amp preparation wit his blood capsul and strategies.
4th They could not beat Hidan and Kakazu together so they had to separate them...

Yes Shika distracted him wit his shadows and yes u are correct Kakazu did say that. I think u quoted him exactly.

Just like Kakashi using spamming his MS is speculation.....
All these vs threads are speculations but thats y u got to bring evidence to the table instead of ppl just saying he has 1000 jutsus(most of which are weak and wont kill any s-ranker) and he can just spam MS...
I mean theres already enuff evidence in this fight alone to show that Kakashi would have gotten squashed had they soloed...not to mention if Asuma didn't sacrifice himself for the info on Hidan then Kakashi and team 10 died this day....This was Kishi's whole message on the "climbing silver".

Kakuzu would obviously win. He took on kakashi with ino and chouji and still wrecked them. If naruto hadn't saved their asses kakashi would have lost a heart. Although kakashi obviously got stronger over the timeskip he is ass compared to kakuzu. He can't use Kamui 5 times!!! kakuzu wouldn't let him get to his hearts one on one. Also kakuzu could just separate and take him on 5 v 1. He was dominating kakashi when he separated and kakashi had ino and chouji to help. Even though kakashi was a G in the first series of naruto, IMHO he has been turned into the new Iruka of shippuden. He could still beat a few good nin tho, (like Hidan or Gai) but he would get wrecked against an average Akatsuki member.

Yeah you deff. have some good points and I agree that the people saying Kakashi would just spam his MS are retarded. I may be a Kakashi fan, but I'm able to look at it objectivley.

My biggest point I think is that it was a close fight between the two, that could go either way, but Kakashi did remarkably well vs him in the encounter we saw, and if Kakashi went into the fight already knowing Kakazu's abilities then I'm sure he'd find some way to work a strategy around it. So I guess a few more factors would have to be specified about the fight.

It is a lot different to put Kakashi vs Kakazu in a 1v1, as opposed to having him bouncing around fighting both him and Hidan before they really square off, you know?

I'll go check later tonight and see if I can find the parts in the manga that I'm thinking of where Kakashi had to help out and save Ino and Chouji.

I don't think that Ino and Chouji are anywhere near Jonin level at the time of this battle, later on in the war where we have most recently seen Choji fight I think he Jonin level now.

A lot of people are saying that in the second part of Naruto that Kakashi has gotten weak, but I think it's the reverse; other people are getting stupid strong. I liked this series a lot better when the underdog had a chance to win:

Naruto vs Neji
Naruto vs Garaa
Sauske and Naruto's team work vs Zabuza and so on

It's starting to remind me a lot of Dragon Ball Z where the main characters just start getting stupid strong with random power ups.
(How the heck does anyone fight Sauske with the Ems and that Susano crap?)

The fights are getting less technical and more flashly it feels like.

The annoying thing with Kakuzu is that u have to beat him 5 times before u win, i´m sure kakashi can take out 3 hearts if he tries, he could probably take out a 4th heart if he really push himself and the mangekyou to the limit but that´s as far as it goes, Kakuzu wins

Kakashi is most certainly not weaker in Shippuden, its simply that he has been thrown into actual dangerous combat more frequently in Shippuden and is required to show the actual extent of his powers (which obviously doesn't live up to many people crazy expectations.) Kakashi is most of the time put up against insanely strong individuals or thrown into deadly situations normal shinobi would not have been able to survive.

On the whole Kakuzu VS Kakashi fight though, my bets would be on Kakuzu, he is one of the strongest and varied Akatsuki whose experience and brute force alone outmatches Kakashis. In Shippuden, during their fight Kakashi was mostly protecting the others and simply fending off Kakuzu without really returning too many blows.

Kakuzu has this one won easily.

Kakuzu would win but of course not easily. From what I've seen from the Kakashi vs Pain fight, Kakashi improved since his battle with Kakuzu the first time. I feel like Kakashi could trick Kakuzu a couple of times with a Lightning clone and then kill him. 4 out of 10 times Kakashi can win. But its in Kakuzu's favor this match is

Giving you 10 reasons why Kakashi would pwn Kakazu.

1. Kakashi didn't use MS back then

if he does, he will drain himself while kakuzu has his spare hearts.

2. Kakashi didn't know to hit the hearts

What are you talking about? It doesn't matter if you hit the hearts or kill kakuzu, in the end you have to kill him five times, and kakuzu didn't even know kakashi was there until kakashi took out one of his hearts by surprise, this time kakashi won't get that surprise attack.

3. He was worried bout choji and ino

true but overall they were a much greater help than hinderance

4. He has so many jutsu 1000+

but he can only use what he has shown in the manga so far

5. He can summon and make shadow clones then its over

if this was true, he would have done it the first time he fought kakuzu.

6. Kakashi can just MS his 2 hearts at least

if he uses it twice, his body won't be able to evade kakuzu's large-scale elemental attacks.

7. Kakashi would beat the shit out of him with lighting beast runnin jutsu

8. Kakashi can use water dragon and fire style at the sanme time so there goes Kakazu abilities.

No he can't, if he could use them at the same time he would have the acid kekke genkai, especially since he needs two hands to perform the seals for each jutsu.

MS doesn't grant the user any more battle perception than a regular sharingan, it just grants them a hax ability.
