after the last couple of chapters weve seen nagato almost kill naruto and Bee. until itachi saved them and sealed nagato.

now unless Jiraya has some sort of long range sealing method he doesn't have anything in his arsenal to defeat Nagato.

well very few people know what jiraiya is capable of, and one of them is nagato...he didn't become a legendary sannin just by perving on women..plus he has the 5 frog summons, and god knows what jutsus...even lil sage frog said, jiraiya had the chance to retreat against pain..but he chose to stay to find out the secret, plus he didnt go there to fight and was caught off guard. plus he thought those 3 were dead. so i agree, if jiraiya had intel on them and was better prepared he could hav defeated nagato

This one goes to Jiraiya but I can't say it's an easy battle for him. Jiraiya will have his fair share of difficulty with Kakashi but nothing purely life threatening. I'd put Jiraiya>Kakashi in skill Jiraiya=Kakashi in intelligence (and Kakashi even has the advantage with his Sharingan), and Jiraiya>Kakashi in power (meaning jutsu, and stamina)

Jiraiya will win (IMO) but with some hardships. I wouldn't say SM is perticurally needed he may be able to pull it off without it but SM would be the definate K.O

I think Jiraiya would win. He has a lot of experience, much more stamina than Kakashi and Sage Mode. Also, his summoning techniques really help his chances for beating Kakashi. xd
