He's faster
Smarter
His ninjutsu arsenal is amazing.

Hidan's a weapon specalist...Guess what? Kakashi holds off Hidan with a mere kunai

and it should be manga knowledge for both characters.

Which means Kakashi knows enough about Hidan.

Kakashi. Hidan's gonna have a hard time drawing blood from 'I fooled you with a clone no jutsu'. Combat wise, kakashi stomps him. Hidan's just an idiot with a scythe, and kakashi was able to fend him off without too much trouble while defending Choji and Ino.
