Kakashi can seal as well, but Minato just have more skill. FTG is like any other Space/Time Technique, it's nothing different. Just beacuse you add your own style to it doesn't make it unstoppable or powerful. minato is a really bad match for kakashi. his main technique raikiri relies on speed, but minato is speedier, kamui is s/t, but minato also has s/t, kakashi relies a lot on tactics, but minato is probably smarter, and furthermore taught kakashi... he doesn't really have a chance. he can't even hide underground because minato has the nidaime's tech to detect opponents...

good lord of course kakashi! minato graduated from academy at the age of 10. while kakashi grad at a very young age of 5, promoted as a chunin at 6. jounin at 13 . and a son of white fang, which have a feat that he surpasses even the legendary sannin. and take note that it was said that generations surpasses the one before them(son or succesor). which mostly not true 3rd raikage> 4th raikage. naruto said kakashi was smarter than shikamaru, better nose than kiba, better taijutsu than rocklee and better sharingan than sasuke(not latest) :if you take every statement in the manga to be true: kakashi copied thousand of jutsu, while the 4th only knows how to spam rassengan and ftg, and sealing tech.

Kakashi starts his battle off with either a subsituation or shadow clone. He also has knowlegde of FTG, so he might have some counter strategy being that he is a former student of Minato. I didn't say he would used those techniques in battle I just assumed he would to counter. It's all speculation based on knowlege and opinion.

You think some lame kage bunshin trick would work on minato? One the smartest, if not thee smartest character on the series? Not withstanding that he obviously knows how to use the kage bunshin too and can use it a lot more times than kakashi because of his monstrous reserves.

Fact of the matter is that we have never seen kakashi defeat ANYONE in the manga, except maybe zabuza, after he was SAVED by sasuke and naruto.

Ninjutsu is useless if you can't hit your opponent, Kakashi can't form handseals against Minato, people can't even form handseals against the raikage's top speed and Minato is even faster than that, his one thousand jutsu will be useless. And as rock lee said and proved against sasuke at the chuunin exams, being able to perceive the attack and movement with the sharingan is useless if the body itself can't keep up, what's worse is that not only will kakashi's body not be fast enough to react, but his sharingan won't even see his movements (sasuke couldn't follow the raikage's movements when he went V2 armour, hence the sasuno and ameterusu shield and minato even faster, bare in mind that those two jutsu didn't require handseals).

Kamui, that is the most useless jutsu in against Minato, good luck transporting someone into another dimension when they can just transport themselves back with his own space time jutsu in kick your ass when you're on the floor from chakra exhaustion of using Kamui.

Good luck transporting someone to another dimension when they can just out right avvoid the jutsu before it succeeds with his sheer reaction time and speed, Kakashi can just go ask Tobi about his 'success' with that kind of attempt.

Good luck on taking on Gamabunta, Ma, and Pa AND one of the greatest and by others regarded as the greatest shinobi of all time.

Even if by some miracle Kakashi pulled off handseals and did a jutsu, that would be utterly useless, ALL jutsu are useless against the guy who can just transport the jutsu to another place or back at you with ease. (He transported the Kyubi's Tailed Beast Bomb with a mere clasp of the hands together with his space time barrier jutsu before he summoned gamabunta).

A guy who can transport the Kyubi's TBB won't be affected by any ninjutsu except maybe earth based, since they come from under the ground, but even then, his insane relexes, reaction time, speed, and ftg will sort that out.

The fact of the matter is that the difference between these two warriors is like the gap between heaven and earth, Kakashi won't be able to take on Minato, Gamabunta, Ma and Pa, Kakashi's kamui is useless against Minato for reasons we all know, Minato beat A and B, beat Tobi and the Kyubi, and took singlehandedly forced Iwa to retreat, Kakashi only beat Zabuza and no one else, and he needed his two little genin to save him before he did, Kakashi's 1000 jutsu are useless here for reason explained above, Kakashi is smart but not as smart as Minato, at the least they could be the same level, but even then, I would be giving him a lot of free points to put him there, this battle is over.

What does graduation have to do with anything? Naruto graduated at twice the graduation age as kakashi but he is miles ahead of him now, so your point is invalid, even sasuke as far ahead of him now and they both graduated at a much later age, graduating early doesn't mean shit.

Now if you wana go and take what the people in the manga say at face value. Let me prove another point to you....

But first, let me say to you that you should realise that people in the manga are always biased when they talk about their own, now let me prove it.

You say that naruto (who isn't the most intellihent person on the manga) said that Kakashi is smarter than shikamaru right.

Let me ask you this, If Kakashi was smarter than shikamaru, why did Kakashi let shikamaru come up with a strategy to take on hidan and Kakuzu and not just do it himself, since their lives would be on the line?

You said that Kakashi is smarter than shikamaru based on the fact that naruto said it but neglect to mention that Asuma, who knew Kakashi, said that shikamaru is the smartest person he knew. So who should we believe, Naruto, or Asuma?

Naruto said that Kakashi has a better nose than Kiba but then a few arcs later we found out that what naruto said is complete bull because Kakashi and his ninken couldn't track sasuke but Kiba proved that his nose has surpassed even those of kakashi and his ninken because he was the only one that could still track sasuke even though he used a space time jutsu to leave the battle area, so now we have the most direct proof that what Kakashi's nose is no where near the level of kiba, once again naruto was talking bull shit.

Naruto said that Kakashi has a better sharingan than sasuke, but Orochimaru, Kabuto, and Tobi have both said that sasuke has better eyes than ITACHI, who Kakashi admitted himself was at another level and everyone knows his eyes are better than Kakashi.

Did you even ask yourself how on earth naruto would have known that Kakashi's eye was better than sasuke's at the time that he said it, since we know that they hadn't met for a whole THREE YEARS, how on earth does he think he knows that when he hasn't even seen sasuke for that long. The answer is obvious here, naruto didn't know wtf he was talking about, he was comparing the little genin sasuke he knew three years ago to this kakashi. He was, as usual, just babling nonsense without even knowing anything.

Now this is the part that I would go into reasons why Kakashi can't beat Minato, but I've already done that, you can go read my other post if you want answers.

I could see a scenario where Kakashi wins.

FTG is not an at-will teleport, it requires teleporting to one of Minato's kunai. Kakashi's sharingan tracks the kunai in flight and he anticipates the teleport and has chidori or raikiri (which btw require no hand seals and can be formed in both hands simultaneously) waiting for Minato. If Minato litters the battlefield with kunai, Kakashi counters with clones and substitutions. Minato's rasengan is not infused with a nature affinity, so chidori is probably equal to it, and raikiri is superior. So then we're left with Minato's base speed vs the sharingan. We've seen how raw speed vs the sharingan has played out before. I'll grant that Minato's speed means that Kakashi doesn't have time to form hand seals, but the flip side of that is that any time Minato tries to form a hand seal Kakashi can simply copy it to counter it.

If Kakashi tries to use his sharingan offensively (kamui) I think he misses and loses as a result.

That said, Kakashi is an underdog, but it isn't a curbstomping. No, I don't buy the arguments that A would beat Kakashi and Minato would beat A therefore Minato beats Kakashi. I also don't buy that because scissors beats paper, and paper beats rock, that scissors beats rock. Its an issue of how they match up, and this is a more difficult matchup for Minato. I think it'd be a fun fight to watch.
