Shodai, Nidaime, Tsunade, Minato, and Naruto are all Namikazes. It is a genius clan with tons of guys that made it to Hokage.

1. Shodai's necklace.

Jiraiya said the necklace is worth 3 mountains and I have a feeling it is something they keep in the Namikaze family. It went from Shodai to Tsunade, to Tsunade's brother, and now to Naruto that we know of. Ok, you will say they only gave it to Naruto because he has Kyuubi. But the fact that Naruto was chosen for the Kyuubi container is a clue too.

2. Bijuus

The Namikaze family deals with Bijuus. Shodai was chosen as the 1st Hokage because of his ability to control Bijuus. Yondaime Minato was the only one that could seal Kyuubi. So the responsibility of dealing with Bijuus lie with the Namikaze family. That is why Naruto was chosen as the Kyuubi container.

3. Valley of the End

Kakashi said the lives of Naruto and Sasuke were remarkably similar to Shodai and Madara at the Valley of the End. So what could be more similar than Uchiha Sasuke vs Namikaze Naruto and Uchiha Madara vs Namikaze Shodai?

If I'm not mistaken Shodai his brother, and Tsunade are apart of the Senju Clan....and Kakashi is apart of the Hatake Clan......but you may be on to something.....
