still go with gai, in naruto is shown that the most important thing to have is SPEED (most of the time it decides everything, example is minato) in speed, gai is almost undefetable, i will say that there is only a few people who can beat him, kakashi isn´t 1 of them

following ones movements is an important aspect of sharingan........nobody can be certain about kakashi's abilities.......he's smarter than gai which makes him use different techniques for defence as well as offence....k....how about genjutsu.....if gai is under one he is done for

gai was shown in part 1 when he released kabuto´s genjutsu, + kakashi wasn´t shown using any genjutsu if i remember correctly, + i know that following movements is important with sharingan (i am sharingan user ) BUT i don´t really believe that even ms can keep up with 6 or 7 gates opened + we have seen that 3T sharingan can keep up with naruto in 1 tailed mode (part 1 fight in the valley of the end)

kakashi might have released gai from the genjutsu that kabuto put......we never saw gai himself releasing.....and besides kakashi has sharingan and genjutsu is one of the basic attributes of sharingan

Well, I doubt that Gai will be able to release genjutsu of a MS even if Kakashi is not really good at it.

Sasuke still has a lot training to expert ms. If you mean that kakashi's sharingan is weird, I can say that using space-time jutsu is something much much more expert than regular and even expert genjutsu.

As I and govind madhu said, genjutsu is the basic of sharingan. And a mangekyou sharingan user could certainly use it.

Also don't forget that Gai should stop and concentrate to do the gate thing.
