saying itachi will jus amaterasu kakashi is like saying kakashi will just kumai itachi. Both can be one hit kills an voth can appear anywhere espeacially since kakashi's gotten way better with it. But saying that is also not true cause noether of them fight like that. They do just use either of those moves when there in a actually fight.

Kakashi is my favorite character in the whole serious, do I think he is on the same level as Minato or Itachi? As far as skills go, no he is not equal to the both of them. When it comes to brains, yes he is just as smart as the both of them. The only thing that holds him back is his lack of chakra. Another thing that holds him back is his techs aren't as powerful as Minato or Itachi. I think he still needs more time before he becomes equal to either one of them. It still doesn't mean he isn't boss, because he is. If it wasn't for his lack of chakra then I would say he was equal. As of right now, no he is not. It's all good though, he is still my favorite character.

As a prodigy Because itachi sasuke & shisui have a kekgenkai which they mastered young so kakashi is slightly behind them & kabuto but right above minato haku kimmimaro & neji...

Imo kakashi > minato = hiruzen > hashirama = naruto > jiraiya
