kakashi must have immense natural chakra reserves to be able to use ms techniques, in their 1st fight itachi was pretty exhausted after not using very many and remember because he is not uchiha the sharingan drains kakashi many times more, it costs him far more chakra, and after that fight itachi got weaker while kakashi's gotten continuously stronger. in outright strength he is probably now stronger than itachi was, he's been fighting cont. for a while now and even against the tailed beasts is holding his own. but even with all this itachis jutsus are just on another level, and minato is beyond even that.

completely irrelevant but i wonder what kakashi might've been like if he'd never gotten sharingan...

the copy ninja is the no doubt in the top five greatest prodigies in the series. every time u seem him battle, he improves enormusly.
-obtained the three comma sharingan without being an uchiha
-he improved chidori and created raikiri, (s rank jutsu)
-obtained rasengan
-1000 different jutsus coppied
-amazing tai jutsu, fought multiple hand to hand combat battles with powerful people(itach, pain, kakuzo, deidara, zabuza)

in the beginning, naruto says that he is surpassing each of konoha 11 at what they do best

having said that, you can obviously relate to the praise minato and itachi got as young ninja

kakashi perfected kamui, his most powerful technique and with that addition, he is on the same level as the others.
kamui can suck up amaterasu imo

All three have reputations/are known & feared
All three play big roles when it comes to the main characters
So they are same level the only thing that separates them is level of op'ness which because of his heritage itachi takes the cake other than that even

But he can't go up to minato and itachi's level due to lack of stamina and forbidden jutsus on his arsenal...

1000 jutsus + a genius mind is = great
stamina + forbidden jutsus = legendary...

I dare say he's not on Sasukes level before he the latter got his MS. And we know that Sasuke barely edged out a weakened Itachi, and we also know that Sasuke could kill the First Kage clone, Naruto, Sakura and Sai at the same time if so desired. Considering many don't consider Sasuke to be at those levels (I personally think he is, but the overwheming sense of drama and his questionable battle decisions.) then Kakashi cannot be at those levels simply because the former had achieved greater mastery over his signiture jutsu.

When Kakashi later fought a worn out Sasuke, he had used two uses of the MS just not to get arrowed and was only saved when his eyes finally gave out on him. Again, considering most don't think Sasuke is on the level of Itachi or Minoto at this point (even after EMS, which I find kind of strange), theres no evidence to suggest that he's at any Kage level.

His greatest victorys have been against the 7 mist swordsmen Edos, and he had a entire devision behind him dedicated towards that task. When you compare that to the achievements of Sasuke, even dispite all the bailouts he got, proves how far Kakashi is below the bell curve.


He's a great Jonnin with a vast reputation, but there are a lot of people that have a greater reputation then him.
