we know kakashis either still in genjutsu or was in genjutsu and had this been no holds barred fight, obi would have just walked up and finished him rather than trying to convert him. or that they are having an illusion duel.
how is he supposed to go intangible when he's already in the dimension that allowed him to do so? You could argue that he could send his parts back to the real world, but that's suicide considering what's going on there in the first place. its obvious to me that obito is in a locational and situational disadvantage.
kakashi began this battle having at least some intel on obi's abilities

i know people are going to use the "you had chances to kill me"quote but that was with kurama chakra, backup from naruto himself etc.
obito himself could have and would have killed kakashi SEVERAL times now if not for naruto interfering or if not for his own plot induced mercy. at the end of the day characters die when kishi decides they should (tsunade).
hell obito had his chance 16 YEARS AGO. kakashi's alive because obi simply didn't feel like putting in the neccessary effort (till now).
also obito is simply one tough cookie. he took a headbutt from bm naruto and shrugged it off. his stamina is leagues beyond kakashi's. he can sacrifice/dispense his arms at will. he knows many forbidden techniques like izanagi. no way is someone like kakashi lasting 10 minutes vs an immortal. his gedo mazo has no answer from kakashi. raikiri literally did nothing to its hand

n what aspect exactly does Obito surpass Kakashi? We've already seen that Kakashi surpasses him in reflexive speed. Kakashi is a greater ninjutsu user than him.
you cant compare kakashi's basic elemental jutsus to flame barrier, rinnegan stakes, sharingan genjutsu, and his weapons (warfan, amber pot)
the barrier alone is s-rank.
also we've alreayd seen obito has better speed feats in the real world. for some reason without his kamui powers he seems way slower in the dimension

Obito is a bad Shinobi, Kishi gave him the best tools (mokuton,rinnegan,big chakra,zetsu,senju dna etc...) but he's still bad and unskilled.
