Yes you're right about that. In that scene though I never got why Itachi tortured Kakashi. Unless Kishi hadn't thought about Itachi being good yet, why would he torture a ninja like Kakashi? He could even tell him he is a double agent inside tsukuyomi, so Kakashi would find a way to avoid battling and no one would understand anything.
