He had not even touched deva before preta arrived he used raikiri once, his lightning dog, earth wall and then lightning clone and after the clone died back up arrived and kakashi said he was at half chakra, choza and choji damaged preta Kakashi never hit deva and only hit preta because he blocked Kakashi while deva was in his cooldown from blowing choji and choza away.

Even if he didn't touch Deva before Preta arrived, all this time fighting him gave him much information on Deva. It's not like he didn't accomplish anything by fighting Deva, because he did.

Not landing a hit doesn't means Kakashi didn't almost defeat Deva. Because if that Raikiri landed, and it only needed a fraction of a second to do so, Deva would be dead. Stating Kakashi almost killed Deva is in no way an exeggaration.

And as You already mentioned it, I don't see Kakashi having his ass whooped during the fight with Kakuzu, especially since he was attacked by another Akatsuki at the same time and had to waste chakra (on which he's low) to protect team 10.
As for Pain... he almost defeated the strongest od the paths.




Still he's better with his Sharingan than almost whole Uchiha clan. Besides some exceptions like Itachi, Madara, Sasuke...

Yep, thanks for reminding me. Shisui and Madara's brother should be on the list as well. And we can safely state Kakashi surpassed other clan members with Sharingan, because he awakened MS. Something not only extremely difficult to do for Uchiha, it should be impossible for non-Uchiha. And even Itachi thought it was impossible.

The thing about Kakashi is he's a great allrounder and stands a pretty good chance against almost anyone, some people will have opponents that perfectly counter their style but Kakashi has no such problem.

I would say he is at Kage level as I think he could beat Gaara and would be a good fight against A.

I do think he is under rated because he has stated that Naruto has surpassed him when he learned the wind Rasengan and I think maybe people took it that Naruto at that level would beat him, so narurally when Naruto learns Sage mode and then 9tail chakra mode those people would kind of feel that Kakashi has been left behind.

I believe Kakashi stated Naruto has achieved his level or MAYBE surpassed him. Still, Kakashi is much more experienced and more analytical than Naruto. In terms of power only Naruto achieved (then) Kakashi's level, but in terms of strategy and intellect, Kakashi was still much better. Heck, even now he is better in those criteria. Still, it's a bit offtopic, pardon me.

It actually is an exaggeration because if you were being fair then you definitely need to give credit to Chouji, and Chouza as well, because Kakashi would have never gotten to that point without them.

So if you were to say "Kakashi, Chouza, and Chouji almost killed Deva Path" then that would be a correct statement. As it is you are giving all the credit to Kakashi which he didn't earn.


And to your post about what databook stats we can or cannot use. It is very obvious which ones can be compared to other people.

Certain things are constant (barring sickness or injury), like speed, and chakra levels. Whereas other things like the genjutsu rating, or the taijutsu rating, are totally variable as there are weaknesses and strengths that come into play when comparing people.

Like if Neji or Kakashi were to fight in a taijutsu match, who do you think would have the advantage? Their databook stats are about equal in taijutsu, but in a pure taijutsu match Kakashi has the distinct disadvantage. So those type of things are variable whereas speed is a constant no matter who you are fighting. Same as chakra levels, and strength.

So yes you can distinguish between what attributes to compare. It is easy to make the distinction.
