Can you gives us a link to provide that he has start to lose his light in his battle with pain because as far as I know his eye sight was never blurring .

kakashi has only got the ms and i don't think he can awaken the ems. if only the ms tires him out when he uses it then i presume the ems will kill him since he is not an uchiha..............

he only has ms, but due to his second 'normal' eye, he doesn't go blind, he just runs out of chakra very quickly

As we know so far it takes relative eyes transplant to awaken EMS but Naruto world isn't that much about family bond. It's more about strengh of bond wether there familial or not.
Yet the Kakashi/Obito bond have shown to be really strong since after the death of Obito and the transplant kakashi completlety change.
concerning the " kakashi would die if he use EMS theory" i'll say that Kakshi have a good control voer his chakra flow. As we see with the chidori which he was able to use 3-4 times in part 1 and 6+ in part 2

Itachi had a small chakra pool however he have been able to minimize the chakra drain from the sharingan giving him the opportunity to extend the use of it.

conclusion: So far there's no proof that Kakashi MS could be in fact EMS, but it's not impossible.
Most think he only got MS
But some of them think it's possible he have EMS (waiting for proof)
Few think his MS is in fact an EMS

no problem man. i could not explain totally what I was trying to say yesterday because I was tired as heck.lol I will add one rep for you sure for trying to using logic and science.
First off will need oxygen in the eye for it to survive so it is connected to the rest of the body or the eye will die, that disproves your theory of blood. Second no one stated that EMS can only be activated by an Uchiha, it was believed that only Uchiha clan can have sharigan but then Kakashi came along.
And I am not bashing I just like to argue
That's exactly my point, what I was meaning was that the sharingan is always active, thus oxygen is always moving. but his eye has two types of blood in it, his and obito's. To be able to maintain obito's blood still functioning the sharingan has to be activated.
WHat makes an eye green or blue? It's the different genetics passed from generations. If you that has blue eyes, you have a high chance that you will have blue eyes because the XX chromosome is alpha.
The sharingan eye that the Uchiha's has is design specifically to maximize the use of the sharingan. The blood vessels inside of an Uchiha are designed to use the blood of the Uchiha efficiently.
I don't really know how to explained really, but it makes sense.

Maybe Obito survived(Im not saying he is Tobi ...)and later killed his best friends, thus awakening MS and his second eye in Kakashi transformed also.
Or Obiso's spirit now resides in Kakashi or something.
