both are equal in a fight and if there was any clear cut winner it wouldn't be one side getting the other by a lot and it can easily end in either a draw or go either way at the tip of will power.

There's not much adaption required in terms of using the gates. What the gates do is break the barriers on one's physical restriction in their body. There is no need to adept much to that with the exception of the conditions that follow after the gates power has ended and re-establish. That would be the only real need for adeptions.

As it stands Kakashi has at least one gate, even though it's one it's something. If Kakashi had the stamina of a normal person, enough to use at least a quarter of his techniques in a single fight without dying, he could definately defeat Gai. If Kakashi had enough to sustain Gates? Kakashi would be one of the strongest characters in the entire series and blow right pas Gai but that's not the case.

Well you shouldn't because by an intelligent person wouldn't go head first into Afternoon Tiger like that. You just said Kakashi was intelligent. xd

How do you conclude that the two characters are going to duke it like Naruto and Sasuke, use their strongest attacks against each other? Kakashi fights smart meaning he's going to try to avoid Afternoon Tiger if that comes into play, either avoid or prevent it and counter.

This fight can go either. Kakashi has to beat gai before he goes gate mode because kakashi isnt surviving that. However the reason why ill give kakashi the advantage is his intelligence and fighting style. Kakashi already knows about the gates, but more importantly knows the effect of the gates. He witnessed gaara get out of lee's Omote Renge (although not gate) with a suna bunshin and i can see kakashi replicating a similar feat if he fought gai because he uses bunshin's as a decoy anyway. If gai was to waste gate mode on bunshin/s he is there for the taking after because of the effects on the gate on himself

I admire the way gai fights b/c he uses no nin or gen jutsus bt lets not overrate the eight gate especially since we've never even seen it. And if he was to go that far in battle against kakashi what makes anyone sure that kakashi wouldn't use a lighting clone like he did with pain?
