Ok So I was thinking would win.
Kakashi - Sharingan (MS), Amazing ninjutsu, above average Taijutsu, Smart
Neji - Byakugan, Taijutsu master (gentle Fist) said to be a genius

vS.

Asuma - Taijutsu boxing style and pretty good at ninjutsu... I guess hes smart
Guy - Taijutsu MASTER, Eight gates and stuff

I see Asuma being the odd man out of this battle, I mean, he's storng but I wouldn't put him on par with Kakashi and Gai. For that matter I'm not sure how Neji would fair.

Odds are for the tag up it may be

Asuma vs. Neji
Gai vs. Kakashi

However in a tag battle of any kind, you don't have the two teammates pairing off and having their own battles, they would collaborate with their partner and with that being said Kakashi and Neji may have a chance of cutting off Gai's chakra and/or preventing him from using the Eight Chakra Gates. I'm leaning more towards Kakashi and Neji but either team has a shot at winning.

Im thinking Kakashi and Neji. Even though Neji lacks exp compared to everyone else he could still take on Asuma to some degree. And kakashi well is kakashi who could probably beat Asuma and give Guy some work
