lol I was talking about Kaido, regarding Moriah he was said to have fought him before, but somethings clearly off since his crew got annihilated by Kaidou. Also Kaidou was probably not in his prime. Moriah also declined staying in the Grand Line doing nothing but making zombies, he must have been much stronger when they asked him to be Shichibukai.
Lol my bad. It is strange if a guy just as strong as a Yonko would just get so weak, I find it more likely they fought when they were like rookies but you never know with Oda.
Luffy's King Kong Gun reminded me of Asgard Moria's island(or rather town) splitting attack

I think it's probably in this form that he used to fight Kaido, except that at the time he could control all the shadows and was in his prime
1- Remember that when he took the thousand shadows in Thriller Bark, he was with a physical and mental exhausted body and barely conscious, so it's very likely that thousand shadows weakened Moria is vastly weaker than thousand shadows healthy Moria. Maybe that in a healthier state he'd have even controlled the shadows better
2- Also remember that everyone who encountered Moria said he grew weak(Doflamingo or Jinbe notably), and himself acknowledged that ever since he lost to Kaido, he grew lazy, thinking about becoming pirate king through the help of others, something that most probably affected his strength, stamina, fighting skills and the lot
So in the end, it's not that really farfetched to me anymore if Prime Moria could have clashed with Kaido if it's really the prime version of Asgard Moria that he used to battle him in the past
He still got destroyed with his entire crew though
