There's a lot of theories especially if they were on the same ship at one point that in the 7 times kaido was defeated. That he did the same thing Luffy did and tried to overthrow the current yonkos of his time... Big mom being one of them and big mom handling kaido one or some of his losses.

Kaido would win now.. but would his crew beat big mom's

Some people here don't understand the scale of what it means that a yonkou shows up. Going like yeaaah he'll beat Big Mom. But at what cost ? She is still a yonkou, things will get fucked up. If 2 yonkou went toe to toe it will impact Wano in a big way, subordinates will die, limbs might be lost.

Even if you're the stronger one, you don't want to fight someone on that same level if it can be avoided. Just look at Aokiji vs Akainu.

On the topic of the stress factor let's not forget the Manga explicitly said 1v1 -> Kaido it also explicitly said he's been captrued by Marines AND Yonko before. What we saw being set wasn't a 1v1 so yes there is a very real possibility Kaido could have ended up losing an all out crew battle against the BM pirates.

You went right back at the the fight and the question if Kaidou can beat her.

What I am saying is, look what Luffy accomplished on WCI while he was severely out of his league and lost against Big Mom. Island destroyed, reputation tarnished, dreams of Vinsmoke tech and giantification crumbled, shot of becoming pirate king gone.

Luffy already gave Kaidou a taste by halting his smile production. Big Mom showing up right now is the biggest wrench thinkable to be thrown in the plans. From being able to come up with a plan to attack he now suddenly is forced to defend in a country that already is against him, with Luffy and Kidd ready to go.

So he might win the fight, but at what cost ? His relation with the Shogun, a civil war, his poneglyph ? Something like this could destroy years of his work and leave him weakened for someone else to scoop him up.

Yeah because two admirals who both had elemental advantages on each other fought for 11 days means Yonko's fight will last that long? Lets just ignore the fact that Big Mom cannot go on for long without her hunger strikes kicking in.
