I remember that manga. I never liked it due to not being able to appreciate manga back when I was much younger.
Something that I find very interesting is that many ancient cultures in our own world have a moon Goddess and associate it with a Rabit or Bunny.
I dont know if you remember my theory on the Rabbit Goddes from Aztec culture. Its almost the exact same story of Kaguya and her two grandchildren Indra and Ashura, one being a prodigy and the other being not as talented. The similarities are beyond reality that one would thing that Kishi literally took that Aztec story.
My theory is enforced due to the nature of the Rabbit Aztec Goddess not being violent, she knew her two grandchildren just like Kaguya did and there is a certain excerpt about her loving nature and taking care of the earth, another similarity that Kaguya shares.
Its definite that Kaguya is indeed not from earth and that she does care for earth but for a completely different reason that you and I might think. After all she shows attributes of an "evil" individual. I am anxious to see her story.

Kaguya obviously teleported all our heroes to somewhere under the ground, and its exactly where Agartha is located, Underground! She said that the whole Earth is her nursery, and them said that they can't destroy it anymore, and said that she will stop the fight and kill them... That's not all I forgot to mention that the Moon Aztec Goddess later becomes the Death Goddess of Aztec mythos.
That can relate to the Reaper Death Seal and the theory of Kaguya being the RDS or at least some connection with it.

Yes, another believes her race is the hannya or shinigami from the shiki fujin. They based it on her appearance of course and all the Uzumaki hannya masks representing her people.

Lol I hope all these references don't completely ruin her character and suspense for me, especially considering how uncannily precise Kishimoto is with his mythology and folklore references...I really shouldn't have made all those parallels or read these threads lols...

Kishimoto wouldn't be taking anything from this anime. The Kaguya is an actual myth.

Kaguya will turn out to be an alien. Notice how the Sage laughs when Naruto called him an alien and he said it was not far off the truth. Also, when Naruto asked where Kaguya wa from, Hagoromo opted to tell him that was not important. This was because the sage was toning down his intellect and he knew Naruto would not understand.

Also, Kaguya called "earth" her "nursery". The full purpose of the Moon's Eye Plan was not peace, but a take-over of the world. This also explains why Kaguya had her third eyes and horns BEFORE meeting with the Shinju.

Nice find! You're probably right aswell. My knowledge of Japanese mythology is laughable at best and I know only little about the kaguya rabbut goddesses story but if kishi and yaibas creator are clearly taking inspiration for their kaguya to form similar charcters it's most likely that there will be even more parallels in how she is ultimately defeated. You've motivated to learn more about the original kaguya story.
