Yeah cause they totally know that he has sound genjutsu and is about to use it, he wouldn't have time to create this "impenetrable sand dome" you so speak of.

No time? he sent tons of sand in the air to stop a metorite in seconds covering five people with sand would take no time and seeing that 5people simultaneously losing there ability to move and one that has the sharingan that can tell weather there in a genjustu or not I dont see it impossible that atleast one would figure it out that there trapped in one

stopping a big object and stopping sound waves aren't comparable, he needs a 360 dome, with immense density, oh and the biggest surprise, he wouldn't know when he's going to use the genjutsu and even if Kakashi knew they were in a genjutsu (they probably all would because I assume he'd stop movements like with Itachi/Sasuke), does he really have anything that can break them out before

remember its a sound based genjustu to attack the sound waves would stop and they would regain mobility and I believe gaara's sand would be able to reach and defend from that attack in the manga page enough to allow his team mates to move out the way or prepare a counter

1. I don't think it needs constant sound, just a sound to start the genjutsu

2. Even if it did need constant sound, he wouldn't be able to move so wouldn't control his sad

3. Even if the above was by a miracle nullified, Kabuto would still amputate their heads before they could break out

No, the cutting in half whilst they are in the genjutsu, unable to move is what I meant

3.I think your over rating his attacks gaara sand had enough power to stop A's stomp I doubt kabuto's hit is on that level

And itachi was already out the genjustu by that time and could move kabuto justu made the better move at that time
