honestly i like more this battle than the pokemon battle naruto and tobi are having.
this is a battle between smarts shinobis (taking sasuke out of the piture) that they need to captured themself. is not a battle to the death or defeat. capture.
great performances from kabuto and itachi.

i agree, this should also look epic in the anime. two real shinobi not using OP fairy tale techniques lol (xd)
Also the plot talk troll no jutsu is not involved so this one is a real match up between to great shonobis.
to bad we do not see things like that often in the manga, all we see is talk+plot+trolling+destroit mountains+overpower.
Also a smart battle have never being seen, analising each other and then attacking.
The battles we have seen about smart people were like, 2 smart guys but for no reason the other guy because was the bad guy became stupid and the good guy became more smart than he ever dreamed.

sasuke AND itachi wouldnt have won easily whether they had intent to kill or not. Nonetheless, Kabuto is restricted from killing them as well and they've both used their best techniques in the fight regardless.

this is the first equally established fight between both good and bad, where both are restricted on the same grounds. As talk no jutsu remains a non-factor this has been full tip-for-tap, though Kabuto has done more of the tapping
cool.I cant say either side is hindered, but Kabuto just has more abilites to dispose of.

juugo's perfect sage mode, karin's healing, suigetsu's liquification, coupled with sakon's technique which enables him to harbou the sound 5 and orochimaru, and their attacks inside him, make him close to unstoppable.
plus, he has
some of the best speed and reaction feats in the manga
immune to genjutsu
varied and powerful ninjutsu
great close-combat and attacks
two broken sage mode jutsu
he's close to unstoppable atm. the only thing I see defeating him is a technique which destroys him completely in an instant, like tailed beast bomb and kirin which are close to unavoidable, or if naruto somehow manages to connect a rasenshuriken and tear apart his chakra network. anything else he's going to tank, plain and simple.

What more is there to say, itachi has finally taken his first L. Obviously we can make all the excuses we want, some are valid and some are far fetched U_Uok, blaze you agreeing w/o a dickhead remark is becoming boring AF
Unlike the other itachi fans here i dont get fazed by the recent manga or the threads bashing him and his fanbase, if anything it makes things interesting. I did actually like this chapter very much because it has confirmed what i thought from the very beginning and no im not telling you U_U. Anyway the fact that the scene returned to the fight again instead of kabuto's life story is obviously a good thing

Itachi always gets too much praise, and Kishimoto might have hinted on this with Itachi's own words in this chapter. He is an amazing ninja, I admit, but people hype Itachi into a godly, unbeatable status kinda like they did with Minato. They keep pulling out excuses like Itachi being less careful because he can heal, but people forget that each time Itachi is injured, he risks Kabuto taking control of him again. Itachi CANNOT risk being injured.
Now I know you again, haha.
I’m just teasing you since I know you are one of the few Itachi fans I actually respect on here, even though we don’t always agree. The greatest defense against defeat is to be honest and somewhat objective because then no one can call you out. However, I’m pretty sure you already told me you thought Izanami had already been activated and unless you still think that something must have changed.

I agree with everything you say but I dont think Kabuto is the strongest, not yet. He only took the blood of person's he met and had access to, you know? In order to truly become the most powerful shinobi, he would need other people's DNA/ blood/ kekkei genkai/ whatever as well. For example, if he had the 3rd Raikages blood, maybe Kabuto's body would become the greatest shield. There are a lot of other examples...
My point is: Kabuto currently has the powers of Orochimaru, Sound4, Kimimaro, Suigetsu, Jugo and Karin and that makes him very strong. But in order to become the strongest, he would have to absorb a lot more powers.
