But if it's programmed to protect konoha, it wouldn't work on someone who doesn't know the truth.
And part 1 Itachi is not a valid answer to KA GG because nobody specifies him.

Itachi's plan was to have Sasuke kill him. Sasuke would then either go back Konoha or be influenced by Tobi and be against Konoha. To ensure that the second scenario never happened, Itachi programmed the crow from the very beginning to instill in Sasuke the order to protect Konoha. That way, if Obito did try and sway Sasuke, the order would prevent Sasuke from falling for it.

However, after meeting Naruto and seeing his resolve, he realized that Naruto would confront Sasuke one day. He saw Naruto's determination and knew that it was going to happen. Trusting in Naruto's resolve, he gave him the crow, which was programmed from very beginning, so that if Obito did sway Sasuke(which would lead to Sasuke receiving Itachi's eyes), Naruto running into Sasuke would result in Sasuke receiving the order no matter what.

Itachi doesnt need ka to beat anyone its just for plot, I hate when ppl use ka as itachis power it does nothing in battle, even after being influenced by ka you think the person would just kill themself? Neither is Kyuubi Naruto's power ,nor Sasuke's current eyes(yeah thats right, they are Itachi's eyes).
But its part of his arsenal so KA gg is only normal and logical for the solo G-o-D to claim.

Uhm... it's not Itachi's power you are right... it's Shisui Uchiha's power. It wasn't designed for Sasuke OR itachi, it was Shisui's and he gave it to Itachi as a gift, the most powerful genjutsu in the series that only high level ninja could comprehend much less use. KA was independent of either of the brothers but he happened to give it to Itachi, which later in the series allowed Itachi to help defeat a top 3-5 shinobi, which is quite a feat. That's all there is to it.
