Bingo. As the story progressed, I realized that he wasn't really acting how I described him. I guess I'm just unable to write that type of character into a story >.> . However, I do plan to RP with him as his personality states.
As for the history, some of the events described go as far back as late 2008/ and throughout 2009, so there are some inconsistencies since some of that material was lost overtime, and I could only remember so much on my own. I'll do better next time

『Looks | 外見 』
Kōtetsu has poisonous crimson eyes and full-body scars that were inflicted by the continuous fighting in his youth; the most recognizable scar being the large one on his left cheek. Though a bit spiky, his black hair is soft to the touch, and sports a buzz cut on the sides. It's usually adorned with feathers and a raccoon tail at the nape of his neck, which is worn draped over his left shoulder to rest in the front. A black uniform jacket sits on his shoulders like a cape, and is matched by a white dress shirt, black pants, a loosely knotted tie, and black boots. He also wears a type of leather belt around his waist for when he carries his sword with him. On his left shoulder is a disfigured Anbu Black Ops tattoo, which serves as a reminder of the time he spent in service of the 6th Hokage. In a fit of rage he had taken a heated knife and attempted to remove the marking, but it didn't turn out well.
As a member of the Inuzuka clan Kōtetsu has their canine like features, with his nails being as sharp as razor blades and his teeth having a fang-like look to them. However, he uses cosmetics to hide the distinctive red fang markings on his cheeks, which only reappear after being exposed to prolonged contact with water. Even though he's no longer a member of the Anbu black ops, Kōtetsu's battle attair occasionally includes his old red and white

that is fashioned after a wolf. Along with that he wore a pair of black pants and gloves, with a red form-fitting shirt underneath. Over the shirt he donned a black, high-collared, long sleeve mantle with red outlines that opened up towards the lower half of the garment. Around his waist was wrapped a simple red obi that held his sword in place across his back, and the ornaments in his hair are removed.
『Personality | 性格 』
Kōtetsu is rather mean. He has been through hell in his lifetime, and he hasn't taken the situation for anything less. There’s no twisting of nightmares into fairytales here; He doesn't believe in that sort of rubbish, no. Life was hard, and he knew it. Kōtetsu was a man who had never known a real family, and never had the chance to feel truly loved by anyone. Being betrayed by the two people he would have expected such idealistic family nonsense from certainly did nothing good to help shape him into a decent human being. His sharp tongue and crudity are only outmatched by sheer bad temper, and he looks down on almost everyone else around him as 'trash' or 'scum'. Though he doesn't throw childish tantrums, it is very clear that not getting his way upsets him a great deal. Don't be mistaken: he does tantrum if angered enough, but it’s generally done in the quiet, heated sort of way that screams of danger and things ill-fated to be destroyed by his rage. Kind of like a calm before the storm. Due to his incredibly short temper, he makes an effort to speak only when he needs to, in hopes that others don't anger him. He also enjoys fighting, and easily loses himself in battle no matter how have he tries to resist. Kōtetsu is very self-confident and only ever seems to appear happy when he’s throwing out insults or has the upperhand against someone – whether they know it or not.
The people he acknowledges are few, but they get to see a side of him that is rarely revealed to anyone else. Now this isn't one of softness or affection, but his sharp tongue and the crudity in his speech obviously lessen. These are the people who can quell the wrath that resides within him, and put a stop to his rampages. One such person would be Ryōken, his Ninken who is constantly by his side. Though even fewer, there are people that he cares about, and would even sacrifice himself to save, albeit insulting them in the process. After facing constant betrayals he started choosing his friends with even greater care; he even goes as far as to test their loyalty and honesty before he opens up to them. The few friends he has are extremely close to him. Most, if not all of his friends had fought with or against him at least once, either before, or after their friendship formed. After being retrieved from the Lupus Den, it became clear to those around him that his violent tendencies had turned down drastically. It's not clear if it was because he simply didn't care, or if he was holding his emotions in check.

『Blood Of Misfortune』
It was only a matter of time before he would be appointed as an elder, the youngest that had ever been chosen to be exact. As such, Izuri Inuzuka couldn’t afford to make mistakes, but he was also human, and humans were bound to make mistakes. Though he tried his utmost to never regret the decisions he made, the one thing he would regret for the rest of his life would be meeting her; Tamaki Akiko. They had only happened to meet by chance, and he was infatuated with her from the moment he first laid eyes on her, but she took some convincing. She had told Izuri that she wasn’t the type of person he thought she was, and there were rumors about her to prove that fact, but he would have none of it. The man was persistent, and Tamaki eventually relented. She was a courtesan by profession, and while it didn’t matter to Izuri, the other elders of the clan were strongly against their relationship. He had her move into the main branch of the Inuzuka household, and it wasn’t long until the two had their first and only child. His name was Kōtetsu Inuzuka, the boy with ill fated blood who was said will one day bring about the extinction of his entire clan. Kōtetsu was always looked upon with pity and disgust by his fellow clan members, and mostly kept to himself. His father never seemed to have time for him, and in an attempt to not bring further contempt upon herself his mother also avoided him. It was a shame that in a pace as big as Konoha, the only person he could rely on was himself…..Himself, and his Ninken known as Shadow. The canine was energetic and always playful, so he and Kōtetsu had a strained relationship, but whenever it came to training the two were always in sync. See, it had occurred to him somewhere that if he proved that he was the best, that if he became stronger than anyone else, then not just the clan, but even his parents would have to accept his existence. That thought turned into an obsession, and that obsession gave way to violence. As he grew older and his training advanced, he became short tempered and irritable, and held little respect for most of the people around him. He had no problem insulting others, which caused problems during his days at the ninja academy, and even his four man cell. After graduating from the academy with one of the best scores, he was placed in cell three alongside a boy named Hasashi, a girl who went by the name of Niba, and the cell leader was a man known as Mugen Ryukyu.
Kōtetsu and Hasashi never got along. The two were like oil and water, but they always completed their mission, no matter the difficulty. Even if they sometimes had to work together to do so. In the year that he spent with them, arguing with Hasashi became normal, and he couldn’t imagine a day without it. Slowly but surely they had all grown on him, and his violence gradually toned down as well. It was a widely known fact that he was stronger than the others around him, and because of this he was sometimes given strict tasks by Mugen to complete on his own, which he usually returned heavily wounded from. It hadn’t occurred to him at the time, but when he looked back on it he realized that he was being groomed. Molded for a future role that he had no idea about. He kept the missions a secret from his teammates, but their constant pestering became too much to bear, and this led to more arguments between. When he asked them why they cared so much they looked shocked, but simply answered by telling him that they were family. And as a family they looked out for each other. It was a simple answer, but it made him realize something obvious at that point. One didn’t need to share blood with another in order to be considered a family. After that incident Kōtetsu and his teammates grew closer, but he still kept the secret missions a secret. He even looked to Hasashi as his brother, and the two argued even less than before. Whenever He lost his temper Hasashi would simply laugh off his insults instead of returning them, a tremendous change from when the two had first met.
However, all wasn’t at it seemed. As he enjoyed those blissful days, the elders of his clan were plotting, and soon their plan would be set in motion. A few weeks after his thirteenth birthday Kōtetsu arrived home as usual, but it was still a mystery even to him why he hadn’t moved out, and found a note laying on his desk. It was written by his mother, and told him to meet her in the grand hall of the mansion. It was suspicious to say the least, but he decided to go anyway. As soon as he and shadow entered the hall they noticed something wasn’t right. The ninken growled continuously, and they noticed that the room was trashed and tattered. Shadow sniffed the air and moved forward. He picked up a scent. Kōtetsu had picked it up too. He knew who it was, and what stench clung to it, but he didn’t want to see it. The two of them turned the corner and there she was, laying in a pool of her own blood. He stared at his mother’s body as the door to the hall burst open and his fathered entered the room with the elders trailing behind. The kept pointing towards him accusingly and shouting something he couldn’t hear. His father picked up his mother’s body and spoke to her, but the only one’s in Kōtetsu line of sight was the elders. They had done this to her. To him. He’d worked so hard to have them acknowledge him, and now it was for naught. He’d already realized a long time ago that no matter what he accomplished, they’d never accept him. He felt shadow brush against his leg and bear his fangs. It seems the two of them had the same idea. It was their fault. Kōtetsu and Shadow leapt towards the three elders, fangs bared, claws slicing through the air. It was a frenzy. The two of them ripped, slashed, and clawed away until there was nothing left, and the two of them were soaked in the blood of their clansmen. His poisonous crimson eyes gleamed, and he burst out in a menacing laugh. He was finally free. With a crooked smile he turned towards his father. He was the only one left. Just before he reached his father he came to a stop. He couldn’t help but wonder it it would really be worth killing him. Afterall, this was the man whose approval he’d worked so hard to obtain. He tried to think rationally, but the anger that coursed through his veins made it difficult to think straight. As he stood there, his father took the opportunity to attack him. He ran up and kicked Kōtetsu square in the chest with such force, that he flew out of the hall and into the courtyard. He didn’t bother getting up though, even though Shadow continued barking at him. He simply looked to the sky as his father approached and began pummeling him repeatedly.
He felt no pain. Just anger. At the world. At himself. It was unfair. What was the point of even bothering? But as he thought this the faces of his teammates came to mind. This wasn't his place to die. Izuri reared back his hand and went to punch his son again, but Kōtetsu caught it, and kicked him off of his body. Payback for earlier. He and Shadow stood side by side, ready to attack, by they’d been surrounded by the other members on clan and their ninken. Them against the world huh? Wasn’t any different from how things usually were. He glared at the crowed and noticed some few people in the crowd. Amongst them were three individuals whose respect he had earned by force, but who came to ultimately accept him. The first one was Caius, whose protective personality would make him a problem to deal with in this situation. Kōtetsu know that the red haired boy wouldn’t let him go after he’d killed all the elders, and he was at the front of the crowd. To his left was Nicholi, smoking a cigarette as usual. He was a bit cold to the other’s, but he too was one with strong principles when it came to the clan. Behind them was Noctis, standing there with an aloof look on his face, even though he was the most troublesome of the bunch. Things definitely weren’t looking good for him. He hardened his resolve and lunged forward, but immediately came to a stop as a single kunai lodged itself into the ground between himself and his father. That was followed by a number of other kunai that formed a circle in the ground around him. He looked towards where they were thrown, and saw a number of masked man staring back at him. He knew who they were, and had a feeling he knew why they were there. The men descended from the rooftop and surrounded him. So they were here for him after all. He raised his hands and continued to glare at his father, because this wasn’t the end for them. No. Not yet. He heard one of them moving up behind him and decided not to do anything, but as single hit landed against his neck, he wondered if he made the right decision.
『Cometh What May』
The cold from the steel floor raised him from his slumber, and it took him a while to remember exactly where he was. He sniffed the air and picked up a few scents, but for the most part he could tell that he was deep underground, and that there were three people a few meters away from him. One of the scents he picked up belonged to Mugen, while the others were unrecognizably. He shakily got to his feet as the room began to light up. Sitting before him was a man with black hair and bandages covering one of his eyes. The man introduced himself as Bahamut, but Kōtetsu knew who he really was. This man was Danzo, and standing to his left was Mugen, and to his right was another man who introduced himself as Anbu K. Bahamut informed him that he’s been taken in by the Anbu Black Ops, and from that moment onward he simply didn’t exist. His rebellious nature wouldn’t simply take that statement laying down, so he protested violently, but Anbu K simply walked over to him and punched him in the stomach. He had tried to dodge, but the moment he did so the silver haired man had adjusted the trajectory of his punch, but he wasn’t about to go down so easily. He took the attack and glared up at the man who’d attacked him, but only then did he realize that one of his eyes were a dark shad of crimson, with three tomoe surrounding the pupil. The man had a sharingan. As this exchange took place Bahamut stood and walked out of the room after announcing that Kōtetsu would now be in the care of the the Anbu Black Ops, and the one who led them; Anbu K. The leader of the organization wasted no time in beginning the initiation of the new member, and Kōtetsu received the standard Anbu uniform that very same day, along with the symbolic tattoo. He was assigned a small room to sleep, and shadow was locked inside of it. He was glad that his ninken was unharmed, but he didn’t show it. Once Shadow was retrieved his training began, but since Anbu K was busy with other matters, he assigned someone else to be in charge of his training. This individual’s designated letter was I, but everyone simply called him Eddy. He was an overconfident guy who always made an effort to upset Kōtetsu, but he quickly got used to it. Whenever the other Anbu members went out of their way to give him a hard time, Eddy would come to his defense. As for his training, it went smoothly under Eddy’s guidance. The first element was water, and for that he was traing by another Anbu member by the name of Vex. Together they discovered that he had a primary affinity for water, which was a stark contrast to his out personality. After a series of brutal training sessions, he became able to use all water techniques with a single hand seal, but since he wasn’t fond of the element he made a vow to use it only when deemed necessary. There was no rest for him, and immediately after mastering water he was thrusted into fire training. Fire was an element he liked since it was similar to the uncontrollable rage that burned inside him, and as such he trained to master it even harder than he did with water. Since no one in Anbu was able to teach the remaining elements, Eddy sought outside assistance. Since his next element was to be earth, he was taken to a man who was considered to be the best. His name was Galahad, an Inuzuka like himself. Kōtetsu had mixed feelings about learning anything from him, but the man paid him little heed unless they were training, and Kōtetsu hurried to master the element. Next on the list was wind, So they went in search of a woman by the name of Akiza. Training with her took the longest due to her playful nature, but he enjoyed the time he spent together with her. With wind done, Kōtetsu, Shadow, and Eddy went to an unreliable fellow known as Gats. This man did nothing but laze about all day, but he was strong. Incredibly so. He taught Kōtetsu lightning, and then left for lands beyond.
With his training done, Kōtetsu was able to take part in important missions, but before he could do so he was ordered to meet Bahamut once again. Once he did, Bahamut revealed his intentions to be the next Hokage, but in order for him to do so he needed the Anbu Black Ops to perform effectively, and remain loyal only to him. Kōtetsu had no feelings of camaraderie for the old man, but he gave his word regardless and went on his way. Just before his first mission, he was assigned the letter J, and his code name became Anbu J. Now it was time for the mission. Over the past few months a group known as Tenbatsu, and their leader Grimmjow were rose to power in the nearby villages. Their military was few but formidable, and they had planned to conquer the five great nations. Their conquest became such a threat that the Anbu were sent out to confront them Directly. Kōtetsu and his teammates caught up with them in the borderlands of the Land of Rain, but apparently they weren't the only ones after them. Another group by the name of Higure and led by Bishamon, had also come to confront the growing group, but due to all three factions arriving at the same time, the mission to destroy Tenbatsu turned into a three way melee between the three sides. The battle was long and bloody, with Anbu and Higure taking most of the casualties, Tenbatsu was merely too powerful, and as such Kōtetsu’s side retreated back to Konoha. Suffering from the shame of defeat, he swore that he wouldn’t lose to them again. Upon returning and reporting the events of the battle to Anbu K, he was surprised to learn that Hasashi and Niba had both been permitted as members of The Anbu. In the eleven months since he’d joined up with them, the two of them had trained like spartans in order to follow him into the organization. He was glad to see them, but had to ask why they went out of their way to join. The two of them smiled, turned to him, and answered in unison. ”It’s because we’re family”. He turned away from them, asked who would ever want to be family with the two of them, and chuckled under his breath as he walked away with Shadow following close behind. Their following missions usually resulted in a confrontation between them and either Higure or Tenbatsu, or sometimes even both, but they were mostly small skirmishes. However, something big was happening behind the scenes. An group of powerful shinobi we gathering together with the single purpose of gathering the tailed beasts, and were simply waiting for the three groups to tire each other out. Tenbatsu had gotten wind of this, and gathered all it’s members for one final offensive, and in response Higure rose up to stop them, while the Anbu focused on finding the Jinchuuriki. As expected, the fight between the two groups was a bloody one. Grimmjow mercilessly cut down anyone who crossed his path, while the other group was faltering due to their leader’s absence. It’s core members, Ragnaroc, Roku, and Akira rallied their troops and led one last desperate charge, and in the confusion of colliding bodies, Grimmjow was struck down. It isn’t known who gave him the finishing blow, but it didn’t change the fact that Higure emerged victorious.
While Higure and Tenbatsu fought, the Anbu Black Ops were having problems of their own. They’d managed to get their hands on the Seven-Tails, but the jinchuuriki had been kidnapped by Eddy, who had fled to the land of Sound. There were also rumors of spies within the organization, and as Eddy’s direct subordinate, Kōtetsu was singled out as the spy. On top of all this, Hasashi and Niba had been sent out to retrieve the Three-Tails, but they had yet to return. With some many things going wrong at once, his mood was even worse than usually, and he was back to his old ill-tempered self. He thought there was no way things could have gotten any worse, but he was wrong. See, with the destruction of Tenbatsu, Higure now set its sights on the Anbu Black Ops, and they had no choice but to meet them in battle. Led by Anbu K himself, the two sides confronted each other on the outskirts of Konohagakure. This time, Bishamon was present and at the forefront of his troops. Their previous victory had given them an air of confidence, but Kōtetsu’s side had the home advantage. With a sudden shout from Shigure, both sides charged towards each other in a frenzy. Anbu K waved his hands are released a crystallized red liquid from his hand, taking out a score of opposing troops. It was only later that Kōtetsu realized that the man was manipulating his own blood. With Shadow by his side, the two performed a rotating fang into the crowd, impaling numerous enemies in one swoop, but when he released the rotation he dropped behind the enemy troops, and pulled out his sword and attacked them from behind. The Higure troops weren’t giving either. For every one of theirs that were killed, they killed two Anbu members. One one side of the field Akira was pressing Ttime into a corner, and it was clear that he had the advantage. On the other side Bishamon and Anbu K engaged each other as the battle raged around them. The Anbu leader kept attacking with his own blood, but Bishamon’s skillful manipulation of the earth rendered the attacks useless. Kōtetsu keep slashing and stabbing his way towards the front, while Shadow clawed away at anything close to him. He eventually got fed up and tossed his sword aside, and performed another rotating fang in order to break through the sea of enemies. This time when he released the rotation, he was back in the middle of the field, with Anbu K fighting behind him. He looked towards Akira’s side, only to see that he’d cut down Ttime, and was moving on towards a new target. A shiver ran through his body, and the hairs stood up on the back of his neck, he wasn’t sure what it was at first, but the sound eventually reached his ear before he saw it. He immediately turned to Anbu K’s location, but it was too late at that point. The area around the Anbu leader had been turned to lava, which was spreading, and his body was on fire. Anbu K was dead, and his troops rose up in a frenzy, but Kōtetsu knew that attacking like this would mean the death of them all. The members in the front were already engaged in battle, so he called for a retreat, and he moved back into the village with as many people as he could, and they shut the gates. At this point he was incredibly bloody, and only after reaching safety did he realize how tired he was. Add to the fact that they had just lost their leader, and that their organization was falling apart, it felt as if this was the end of everything. He patted Shadow on the head and the two went off to find Bahamut.
After reporting the situation to the man who was about to become Hokage, Kōtetsu went back to the Anbu headquarters to find that Hasashi had returned. He was heavily wounded and had a glum look plastered to his face, but he angrily pressed him to spit out whatever was bothering him. Hasashi informed him that in their attempt to obtain the Three-Tails they had come across the Akatsuki group. During the short battle that followed, Nabi had been killed. Kōtetsu gritted his teeth and clenched his fist so hard that he dug into the palm of his hand with his nails. They just couldn’t catch a break. As he vented his frustration on the nearby objects, Bahamut appeared before him. It really wasn’t a good time, but he couldn’t do anything but listen. Bahamut had a mission, and Kōtetsu thought it was just what he needed. He was to infiltrate the land of sound in order to retrieve the seven tails, and kill Eddy in the process. Killing a traitor was just what he needed to vent his frustration, so he readily accepted. He left Hasashi behind, replaced his short katana, and left at once for the Hidden Sound Village. It took him and Shadow a few days to arrive, even less to infiltrate the place, and he also had no trouble finding Eddy. It seemed as if he was the one running the place, as if he’d used the seven tails as a bargaining chip for getting control. He tracked his ex-teammate for an entire day, and waited until he entered a huge mansion at nightfall, and followed him in. He sniffed the air to make sure they weren’t followed, and proceeded to search for the jinchuuriki. In the process of doing this he came across a number of swords set up on different pedestals. The all had the same name; “Kusanagi”. He looked over to one that resembled chokutō, that had a black sheath with a single red line running down the middle. He removed his Anbu issued short sword and placed it on the pedestal, and stuck Izanagi into the red obi around his waist. He sniffed the air again as he left the room, but this time he picked up two familiar scents. The first was Eddy, and the second….Well...The second scent belonged to Niba. He stealthily climbed the stairs to the top floor and burst open the down as Shadow snarled. Before him was Eddy, and standing behind him was Niba, he face littered with black spots. He didn't even need to guess what it was, because he already knew what it was. It was a curse mark. Hasashi had lied to him, and it left him to wonder what else he'd lied about.
『Memento Mori』
Niba was surprised to say the least, and as soon as he appeared in the doorway she flew into a frenzy to defend herself. She tried explaining to Kōtetsu that she had no choice, that the mark was forced onto her, but he didn’t care about any of that. The only thing he focused on was Eddy, and as he glared at him the traited had the nerve to mock Kōtetsu and the rest of the Anbu. He went into a spiel about how the organization was crumbling, and offered him a choice. Eddy told him to either side with him and live, or side with the Anbu and die, but he’d be choosing none of those. As man continued on with his rant about the end of the Anbu Black ops, Zero unsheathed his sword and threw it towards the his chest. It was so quick and unexpected that he even surprised himself. The only one who’d seen it was Niba, who threw herself into the blade’s path instead of deflecting it. Perhaps she was ashamed that Kōtetsu had discovered her, or maybe her feeling of guilt for betraying him drove her to take her own like. Whatever it was, he would never know, because the katana easily pierced her chest and stabbed her in the hear. Now she was really dead, and this time he felt nothing. Eddy looked shocked, and rushed to retaliate before the girl’s body had even touched the floor, but Kōtetsu was faster. He raise a number of stone spikes from the floor, which forced Eddy to jump and release a wind attack of his own, but that’s what he was waiting for. He released a number of dragon shaped fireballs angled directly towards Eddy, but he dodged it by punching at the sealing and releasing another blast of wind that sent him back to the ground. The fireballs blew a gaping hole in the roof and continued skywards, where they started to alter the weather conditions and cause clouds to begin gathering. The two of them stared each other down again, and Kōtetsu once again moved first, but Eddy activated his Sharingan in order to read his movements. He clawed, and kicked, and punched, and sliced, but Eddy evaded them all. He launched multiple counter attacks of his own, but Kōtetsu managed to dodge or block them with his superior reflexes and shouted out insults towards his former superior. As much as he wanted Eddy dead, he couldn’t help but lose himself in the heat of their fight. Shadow was also clawing at the man’s heels, and seemed to be inflicting some actual damage, but while he was thinking about that he caught a kick straight to the chest. Kōtetsu flew back and smashed straight through the wall and into another room, which cause him to regain his senses a bit. He looked at Eddy for the last time as he created a chidori in his hand, but the man simply laughed, and asked if he really intended to take him out with a technique like that. Kōtetsu raised his hand to the sky and brought it down in such a manner that it ended up pointing at Eddy, would became engulfed in a mass of lightning as he was devoured by the Kiri Kōtetsu had prepared. The attack took out half of the building, and set the rest ablaze, giving him little time to make his escape. He whistled to Shadow, who was holding the Kusanagi in his mouth, and the two fled into the night.
In the short few days he had been absent from the village things had changed drastically. Bahamut had done away with the previous leader, took the seat of power for himself, and formed a new organization known as Root to take the place of the original Anbu Black ops. All he had to deal with now was the remnants of the old organization, and he did it in a way that no one would suspect. He sent them out in small groups to protect the remaining jinchuuriki, but they were always killed by the Akatsuki. Soon enough only Hasashi and Kōtetsu were left. Of course they knew what he was up to, but they really didn’t have a say in the matter, which resulted in the latter’s angry becoming insatiable, and in a fit of rage he took a heated knife to the Anbu tattoo on his shoulder and tried to carve it of. He was unable to remove the marking, and left his skin disfigured, but it would always serve as a reminder of his hatred towards the Hokage, and the village of Konohagakure itself. The two of them were giving the mission of going to secure the three tails that was still on the loose, and Kōtetsu swore that if would be the last thing he ever did for the place he’d lived his life so far. In order to find the three tails the two of them journeyed to the Land of Fang, where the jinchuuriki had last been spotted, and also where Akatsuki seemed to be heading. He hoped that they would reach their first, but the universe had a way of never doing him any favors. It wasn’t long before they found their target, but he wasn’t alone. Before him stood a number of individuals cloaked in garments spattered with red clouds. To his surprise there were a few amongst them that he knew, and others that he didn’t. Hasashi seemed frozen in place by his side, but there was no helping him. The group had already noticed them. The first one to notice him was Gobi, a man who was revered as the Sage of Strength and Endurance. The second was a cynical sociopath known as Emperor, who was attempting to tie up the jinchuuriki. Mugiwara was the next to discover his presence, but he quickly went back to keeping an eye on the Three-Tails jinchuuriki who was laying unconscious. Lilianna was also present, but she didn’t even bother to acknowledge him, and instead continued to twirl her fiery red her around her fingers. Akiza sat next to her, and gazed directly into his eyes, as if inviting him to approach the group, but he quickly looked away. Those eyes of her’s were dangerous. She no longer looked at him as if he were her previous student, but as prey. Lastly was the man who was leading the band, the one known as the Pervy Sage, who was looking out into the horizon. The mission was for them to secure the three-tails jinchuuriki, but that was next to impossible at this point, and there was no hope of escaping from the people who stood before him. There was only one thing he could do. Attack. Keep attacking until he were dead, and hope to take one of them with him. He disregarded Hasashi and surrounded the area with mist in order to hinder Akiza’s eyes and change location, but a sudden gust of wind dispersed it before he could get very far, so he turned towards the group and turned the entire area into a muddy swamp. As the last of the mist cleared, he noticed that the group hadn’t moved, and the area surrounding them was still solid. He knew he was outmatched, but he had begun enjoying himself a bit.
He let out a low whistle for his Ninken to join him, and as he did so Emperor stepped forward from the group and motioned for Kōtetsu to continue. He unsheathed Kusanagi, but while he was doing this Emperor had disappeared. He looked around quickly but couldn’t find him, so that only left the ground, but as soon as he thought of that he found himself being dragged into the earth, with only his head left above ground. The Akatsuki member appeared in front of as his laughed echoed through the snickered. Surprisingly, Emperor told Kōtetsu that he liked him, but for some reason that didn’t sit right with him. It made him even angrier than he was before. The whole time he was going on about his potential, Shadow’s growling intensified. The other Akatsuki members, with the three-tails jinchuuriki in hand, came up from behind him as they moved to leave the area, and that’s when he snapped. He’d been clawing the earth to free his hand, and now had enough space to make a single hand seal. He wouldn’t miss the chance. Kōtetsu released a torrent of water from his mouth, but this time it was Mugiwara who acted to stop him. He raised a wall of bones that blocked the onslaught, and Kōtetsu used the opportunity to free himself from the ground. Emperor moved towards him again, but Mugiwara stopped him and stepped forward himself. Kōtetsu enveloped his entire body in chakra got down on all fours in order to increase his speed and reflexes As he did this his teeth and nails grew to claw-like length, and his pupils turned into slits. He was angry beyond belief. He and Shadow jumped into the air and spun in order to combine their spinning attacks in such a way that they would drill Mugiwara into the ground. But that wasn’t how it worked out. As the two spun towards him, Mugiwara released a number of bones from all over his body, and as contact was made he was able to hold them at bay. The ground around him crumbled, and his bones were being sawed away slowly, but he was slowing the rotation. Kōtetsu noticed this and decided to move back, but as soon as the broke contact he felt a single bone pierce his thigh. It should have been impossible at the speed he was going….Unless...That’s when he noticed it. A single gleam crimson eye staring back at him. Mugiwara had obtained a sharingan, and used it during their fight to read his rotation speed. He ripped the bone from his leg and broke the rotation, but as soon as he did this a large number of bones erupted from the earth, so he simply waved his hand and released a vast amount of lightning senbons towards the ground and cleared a small area for both himself and Shadow to land. He grimaced from the pain in his leg and glared towards Mugiwara. He would surely make them pay. His entire body was shaking in rage. He’d make them all pay. He fired a number of fireballs into the sky, and another set towards Mugiwara, who easily dowsed them and fired a bone back in his direction. Kōtetsu dodged it easily and went to begin his next attack, but suddenly froze in place as blood streamed from his chest. He looked down to see a single bone protruding from it, the same piece he’d dodged earlier. He looked back up to Mugiwara, and then to the group behind him. He’s thought they left already, but that wasn’t the case. It was strange, but Hasashi stood with them with a sinister grin plastered to his face. Emperor produced a cloak and handed it to him, and he moved his hands from the seal they were previously holding and accepted the garment. So that was it. Hasashi had betrayed him too. His teammate had placed him in a genjutsu, and Kōtetsu only thought he’d dodged the bone. He fell to his knees and coughed up blood as Mugiwara approached him. He looked down on Kōtetsu with eyes full of pity as he removed another bone from his body. He went to stab him once again, but Shadow jump before the weapon was pierced by it, and in the process he’d slashed Mugiwara across the chest with his claws. As Kōtetsu fell forward onto his face, he caught a glimpse of Hasashi mouthing a familiar phrase, and it echoed through his mind as he sank into nothingness. "It's because we're family"
He sniffed the air and caught a faintly familiar scent scent, but whoever it was didn’t seem to be moving. He slowly opened his eyes and gazed around the room, only to witness a silver haired young man with numerous piercings dozing off in a chair against a wall. He tried to move around, but the sudden pain from his chest convinced him otherwise. As he tested the limits of his movement the door flew open and two more men entered the room. The first was a brown haired swordsman by the name of Keotsu, while the second man with long blond hair was known as Mifune, a Samurai. The silver haired man that now sat upright went by the name of Zero, and around his waist were two swords. It seemed to Kōtetsu that all of them were tied together by the swords they carried, and he’d previously taken an interest in it. However, now wasn’t the time to think about such things. He asked them about the events that transpired after he fell unconscious. The three of the took turns recalling the events for him. The had arrived in the area just as Shadow was struck down, and the man with bone sprouting from his body retreated back to the main group. The weird one that resembled a sort of plant had taken Shadow, who was bleeding heavily, and ate him. They continued telling him of the things that had happened, but he was no longer listening. Losing Shadow was as a major blow, more so than expected, and it was only now that he realized how much the two of them had been through over the past fifteen years, and for the first time in his life, he wept. Though he was angry, he didn’t go off into his usual behavior of shouting obscenities to the people around him, instead it was a quiet, heated sort of rage that screamed of danger. He wiped his away his tears and looked toward the group of men who had saved him. Without his ninken he would need a new way to fight, and this group seemed perfect for the job. He didn’t know where they were going or how long he’d be with them, but in during that time he would learn everything he could, and exact his revenge. He no longer had a village worth returning to, nor did he have anyone who he could trust, so for the first time in his life he was completely alone. He forced himself from the bed and took Kusanagi in hand. His days as an Inuzuka were over, and now began his life as a swordsman.
『Requiem For The Betrayer』
Kōtetsu had spent two years traveling and training with those three, and they grew quite close. It was difficult for him to trust others, but they made it hard for him not to do so, and from some reason his anger seemed to diminish whenever he was with them. He couldn’t quite explain it, but their sound was soothing to him, and he just wasn’t able to act violently in their presence. Before they taught him anything, they made it clear the the weight of a sword was equal to the weight of a life, that the sword he held would be symbolic of his life and death, and whenever he drew it, he did so knowing that he was entrusting his life unto it's blade every time. There was nothing for him to do but accept the terms as he needed the power, by any means necessary. From Keotsu he learned what was called the Command Arts, a fearsome number of techniques that meant a great deal to him, though slightly inspired by his own religious beliefs from old stories of heroes. He had dubbed them as ‘Prayers’ that were said to oneself, promises to protect that which one considered important, to not falter in the face of adversity....to fight for what one believe in. From Zero came the art of Battōjutsu, which he had inherited from a man know as Kurogane. The style focused on multiple lightning fast cuts following the drawing of a katana, and suited Kōtetsu’s chokutō extremely well. He also taught him the rat summoning contract, and it's accompanying ninjutsu techniques. Mifune had left multiple times throughout their journey, but he still found the time to teach Kōtetsu what he called the Infinite One-Sword Style, and the two often sparred, with Mifune always emerging victorious. These intense battle allowed him to hone his skills as a swordsman, and he quickly became adept at the art. Though he was busy learning as much as he could, the world around him was falling into turmoil. The First Shinobi World War had shook the world, with Kirigakure and Kumogakure joining forces against the combined forces of Iwagakure, Sunagakure, and Konohagakure. The battle rages for months on end, and they even sometimes got caught up in small skirmishes here and there. From what he had gathered it seemed as if Bishamon, the previous leader of Higure, had slain the man responsible for the war, and the world was once again at peace. However, since all human beings knew how to do was fight, The Second Shinobi War soon came to be. As luck would have it, the Zero, Keotsu, Mifune, and Kōtetsu were in the Land of Snow for it’s duration, so they were able to avoid any and all conflict. Peace had once again fallen upon the world, and lasted for a surprisingly long period of time, but as always, something was brewing in the shadows. Without anyone even expecting it, Konohagakure was attacked and destroyed by a small group of powerful people, and he already knew who they were. Akatsuki had been fairly quiet, but it seemed that they were finally beginning to move, and Kōtetsu would be right behind them. The organization was once again rising to power, and the remaining villages joined together in order to combat them. Going through his various information networks, Kōtetsu was able to determine where they would appear next, and it wasn’t even that far from his current location. It was a bit hard to part with them after they’d spent so much time together, but his fate was not intertwined with there’s. His place was the battlefield, and he’d been absent from it for too long. Sword in hand, he bid his companions farewell and headed towards Kumogakure.
He’d managed to aquire a change of clothes from an old Anbu hideout along the way, and arrived within Kumogakure borders in less than two days. Now remember that the universe had a way of not doing him any favors, so it was only natural that he came face to face with Akatsuki as soon as he arrived on the Island Turtle. The two before him happened to be Pervy Sage and Hasashi, who were both in the process of attempting to subjugate the eight tail. Kōtetsu knew this was his chance, but he wanted to face the one who betrayed him directly. He called out to his ex-teammate, who’s appeared as if he’d seen a ghost, but the expression was quickly covered by one of frustration. The Eight-Tails jinchuuriki was putting up more that they could handle as it was, but Hasashi left the battle to his leader and moved to confront Kōtetsu. The two of them stared each other down, and while they did that the battle between the Eight-Tails moved from the Island and out into the sea. Hasashi’s body seemed to be burning, while Kōtetsu was as calm as the sea that surrounded them. He knew that Hasashi’s specialty was fire, but Hasashi didn’t know that he had an affinity for water. He had the a slight advantage, but not enough. As a test Kōtetsu created an earthen spike that rose from behind Hasashi, but the object passed right through him. So it really was true that he could turn his body into fire, and that meant that his swords along wouldn’t have any effect. As he thought about the strange ability Hasashi released a torrent of fire towards him, but he easily defended against it by creating a wall of water before him, and created a spike of water from the wall that pierced through the wall and headed towards the attacker. Hasashi spun and released an omnidirectional dome of fire to combat the spike and then rushed forward. Kōtetsu drew his sword and placed it before him, turning it sideways to match the flat plane of the sky as he focused water chakra into it. This act summoned a rainstorm laced with his chakra that covered the field around them, rain that he was able to manipulate. He used the rain to create a ring of eight tentacles in his vicinity that could be controlled at will, and as soon as they formed they began to repeatedly lash out at Hasashi. He also forced any water trapped in the earth to rise to the surface. the pool of water around Hasasi continuously began to evaporate, and the falling rain did it’s best to cool his body. Kōtetsu know that he wouldn’t risk turning into fire at that point, so he enacted his final plan. By cooling the water molecules in the air he awoke a large number of germs that infected them both. It was the final straw. The two of the exchanged a number of attacks, Hasashi had deviated from relying on his fire abilities and keep pressing Kōtetsu with wind, but he deflected them all back from whence they came. They were both showing signs of sickness at this point; their movements slowed, vision became blurry, and breathing became difficult, but he had a way out. He showed a small opening in his defense, and Hasashi didn’t miss it. He opened up the ground and caused Kōtetsu to fell into the earth, but as he fell he raised his internal body temperature in order to kill of the germs. Given his ex-teammates personality, he would have wanted to show off, and Kōtetsu was counting on it. Though he was dying, Hasashi launched himself into the air, and Kōtetsu turned his body to liquid, seeped through the cracks in the ground, and escaped into the sea. Hasashi saw none of this and continued on to release a massive blast, but as he didn’t see it he wasn’t exactly sure what it was, that crashed the Island Turtle ’killed’ Kōtetsu, and resulted in massive tsunami that devastated the region.
Kōtetsu re-formed his body on the shores of the Land of Frost after the resulting tsunami had run it’s course, but he wasn’t alone. Further up the shore a single man was locked in combat against numerous opponents, but they didn’t seem to be a challenge for him. The man was shirtless as he moved around setting his attacker on fire, and a tattoo running down his right arm was visible. He had silky black hair and wore an orange bead necklace around his neck, which whipped about as the bodied of the man’s enemies fell. This man smelt of fire, much more so than Hasashi ever did, and he had two daggers strapped to his belt that radiated power. It seemed to be calling out to him, but he seemed to be frozen in place, and for the first time in years, Kōtetsu felt afraid. That feeling was quickly overcome by his anger, but he still didn’t move. As another two approached, the black haired man spewed from his mouth a giant dragon made of fire, which he manipulated majestically into his attackers, most of whom were incinerated upon contact. From the group of them came an extremely built man who was armed with an axe, and with one swing he put out what was left of the beast. He charged into his enemy and swung the axe as his remaining men cheered him on, but the black haired man was ready. He had removed one of his daggers and infused it with chakra, and as a result it emitted flames that shaped it into a sabre made out of fire. He then went to block the axe, but his fire sabe simply sliced through it and the man as well. As the cheering from his enemies died down, the man looked truly disappointed, and hooked the dagger back unto his belt. The enemy shinobi retreated, and as they did so they shouted back that the King of The Isles would not stand for this. Kōtetsu didn’t know what that meant, and as he went to move the man turned to face him and smiled. Only then did he take notice of the man’s eyes. Like his own, the man’s eyes were red, but it was of the darker shade that was usually possessed by the Uchiha, and they had something that Kōtetsu had only seen in books. The Mangekyo Sharingan. He quickly looked away from the eyes and placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, but the man simply laughed at this. He introduced himself as Kagutsuchi, congratulated him on his victory, and told him that turning into water and faking his own death was quite a stunt. He wasn’t sure if he should have accepted the praise or not, so he simply remained silent since he had no idea he was being watched. Without wasting any time Kagutsuchi walked over to a tree and untied a burlap sack from a low hanging branch, which he then threw towards Kōtetsu. There was a small yelp as he caught the bag, and as he opened it he discovered that a small animal was curled up inside. It was evident that he was at a loss for words, and had no idea what was going on, but as he went to speak the shirtless Uchiha informed him that for the coming battles he would need his lost Inuzuka abilities. Dumbfounded, he pulled the creature from the bag and examined it. It had a weird smell and looked like a tiger….or was it a wolf? He couldn’t be quite sure, and Kagutsuchi saw his troubled looked and explained what the animal was. It was a Tiger Wolf, a rare crossbred that was incredibly hard to find. The whole thing was fishy to him, but the prospect of reclaiming his forgotten abilities intrigued him beyond belief. It was a hard battle within himself, but he declined the offer, placed the animal back into the back, and handed it back. However, Kagutsuchi had a different idea. As he offer was declined, the temperature around them suddenly rose by tremendous proportions, so much so that the nearby trees began to catch on fire. It seemed as if this man wasn’t going to take no for an answer. He once again removed the creature from the back, and as he did so the temperature returned to normal. The man patted him on the shoulder and began walking away, but as he did so he turned and said something foreboding. He said that the organization he worked for would send for him eventually, and that he hoped he would make the right choice. Not knowing what this meant, he looked down at the tiger wolf and found that a small not was tied to it’s tail, which he unfurled and read.
"Amidst the eternal waves of time,
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise,
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon,
Behold the Razgriz, it’s wings of black stealth"
After reading the short passage, he remembered the story he had read in his younger days. Its was a book called ‘A blue dove for the princess’, which focused on the demon known as Razgriz. If he recalled the correctly, the story stated that when history witnessed a great change, Razgriz would reveal itself, first as a dark demon. As a demon, it uses it’s powers to rain death upon the land, and then it dies. However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns. This time, as a hero. Kōtetsu couldn’t tell what an old legend such as that had to do with him, but as he recalled the story he remembered something else, that there was a warrior who fought against Razgriz. It was the God of Fire, otherwise known as Kagutsuchi. Weeks had passed since his battle in Gaikotsu Bay, and most of the world though him dead. From what heard, the tsunami Hasashi had created had claimed the lives of thousands, with the impact had even reached as far as the Land of Snow, and that weighed a bit on him. It was mostly his fault afterall. He also still thought about Kagutsuchi and the legend of Razgriz, but his main concern at the moment was to raise his ninken and train in the techniques he had once given up on. His senses weren't what they once were, and he’d lost most of his feral nature from the time spent traveling with Keotsu and Zero. He would need to start from square one once again. Kōtetsu named his new ninken Ryōken, and had already grown accustomed to having him around. The little tiger wolf had red crimson eyes and was covered in sleek golden fur on the top portion of his body, flowing white fur on the bottom, and numerous black stripes that litter his coat. After going through a number of possible candidates on where to settle down, he finally decided on the Land of Wolf. It would be a perfect place to raise Ryōken, train, and regain his senses. It took him another week of traveling to arrive there, but the trip was well worth it. True to its name, the Land of Wolf housed more wolves than humans, and it’s deep redwood forests were home to the largest native wolf communities. Just by standing at entrance to the dense forest, he could pick up numerous distant howls piercing the night. He brought nothing with him but his sword and the clothes on his back. Well, it wasn’t as if he needed anything else. because afterall, he was already dead. He took his last breath of the outside world and stepped into the forest where he would spend the next few years of his life.
『The Lupus Den』
The deer broke through the and ran in fear as Ryōken followed behind, doing his best to keep up but slowly falling behind. The frightened animal bounded repeatedly, and Ryōken jump into the air, flicked his legs to release the small blades hidden within the golden bracers, and lodged them into a nearby tree. He bent his back legs, and pushed off from the tree, allowing him to catch up with the deer in one leap, and as he descended on top of it he crushed it’s neck with his feet. They slid to a stop, and once they did Ryōken picked it with his mouth and looked up towards Kōtetsu
who was standing in the tree above, as if to show off the prize. Kōtetsu looked over the dead animal and shrugged, and Ryōken seemed to let out a frustrated sigh as his partner lept from the tree to land beside him. He ruffled the ninken’s fur and the two began moving back into the deeper parts of the forest. He’d lost count of exactly how long they’d lived in the forest, but in that time Ryōken had grown exponentially. His muscular legs gave him unmatched jumping power within the forest, even amongst the other animals. They had trained vigorously to this point, but their days didn't just consist of hunting for food and training, ever so often a group of Shinobi would enter the forest in search of him, each group more powerful than the next. Kōtetsu was sure that Kagutsuchi’s ‘organization’ had been sending them, but the one who sought him out always came with the intent to kill him. After a while of defeating group after group and feeding their bodies to the wolves, lone individuals began coming after him. Some of these men were adept with the sword, the most notable being what was called the Ogame Ryu style, while other boated unique abilities such as steel, dark, and even Ice, but he killed them all as well. Parts of the forest were still uninhabitable due to these fights. One part was literally frozen in ice, and another part stood covered in black steel. As Ryōken and Kōtetsu sat before a fire and enjoyed their meal, both their ears perked up. Someone was approaching. He took one last bite of deer meat, grabbed his sword, and went to meet the person who was coming closer towards him. The forest was dark, but the two had no trouble seeing the man, who had now come to a stop. It seemed he had sensed them. The man’s hands and feet were covered with bandages, and he wore light blue mantle that stopped just below his knee. He looked directly towards Kōtetsu’s location and called out, but he couldn’t help but wonder how the man knew where he was. It’s as if he could sense him. It was farfetched, but that was probably the case. One this individual’s hips rested a particular set of sword, which Kōtetsu immediately recognized. It was called. Sanada Yukimura: The Crimson Demon of War. He has heard that there were sever swords with unimaginable powers scattered throughout the world. He’d realized only afterwards that the daggers Kagutsuchi wielded were one of the seven, and now another one had appeared before him. He couldn’t help but get a bit excited. After a moment of silence the swordsman introduced himself as Loki, and he smelt of the sea.
From his explanation, Loki had come to take him back, but Kōtetsu wasn’t having any of that. He wanted to test himself against the sword, and it’s wielder knew it. The moon broke free of the clouds, illuminating the area encompassing the two men, and it was Loki who moved first. He performed two hand seals and expelled a wind blast twice his size, which morphed into a horse that gallopped towards him. Kōtetsu didn’t do horses, and wanted to get rid of it quickly. He created a number of fire rats, that when hit by the wind horse, traveled into it and broke down the attack by eating the wind. When it reach him it was nothing more than a gentle breeze. He mounted Ryōken, who leaped into the air, and Kōtetsu a stream of fire downwards onto his foe, but it was blocked by a dome of water that was then sent up towards him. Kōtetsu and Ryōken both spun and combined to make a giant drill like attack that pierced the mass of water and continued down, but Loki grabbed his sword and held it before him, resulting in the creation of several large round shields that repelled his attack. Kōtetsu could tell that the man was faster than him, but he wouldn’t be deterred. Kōtetsu enveloped his entire body in chakra got down on all fours in order to increase his speed and reflexes. His teeth and nails grew to claw-like length, and his pupils turned into slits, but while he was doing this Loki had unwrapped the bandages around his leg and removed what appeared to be weights. He let them fall to the ground, which resulted in a mini crater being formed from the impact. He had increased his speed even more, so Kōtetsu would have to rely completely upon his senses to track him and react. Loki vanished, and in response he shrouded his body in fire, hoping to keep him at bay. He could smell him just fine, but his eyes couldn’t keep up. He’d instructed Ryōken to withdraw until called, and was sure that he was a safe distance away. A wave of water rushed towards him, but Kōtetsu aimed his open palms to the ground, and released a blast of fire the propelled him into the air, but that was a mistake. As he rose over the wave Loki appeared behind him, and sent him streaking back to the ground with a rotating kick. He crashed hard into the ground, which created a small crater and gave rise to a cloud of dust. He was fairly sure that he’d broken a number of bones, but he felt no pain. He used the cover of the dust to create two clone beside him, and in the direction where he smelt Loki he unleashed a massive wind burst, to which the clones hit with large fireball in order to create a massive wave of fire. He couldn’t see Loki’s face, but he hoped it would be painted with a look of surprise. The clones dispersed, and Loki performed a single hand seal and created a dragon of his own that was made of cork, which collided with the incoming fire technique, and a large explosion ensued. The sound from it had caused Kōtetsu’s ears to ring, but he was already on the move. He emerged from the smoke, taking Loki somewhat by surprise, and charged his body with lightning chakra, while at the same time releasing additional chakra from his feet to boost his speed even more. He sent the lightning chakra to his arms and stuck Loki repeatedly, bombarding him with insults as he did so, but he managed to block almost each and every strike. What he failed to notice was that with each strike that he blocked, lightning chakra was being poured into his body, and he would soon become paralyzed. Kōtetsu twisted his wrist and went to release lightning chakra into his foe’s heart, but as his hand reached the man’s chest he came to a sudden stop. His burning hands were inches away from delivering the finishing blow, and Loki, who’d been paralyzed, held the blade of the Crimson Demon just inches from his throat. If he had taken another step they both would have died. Their match had ended in a draw.
It took some time for the paralysis to wear off, and during that time Kōtetsu packed what little belongings he’d gathered while living in the forest. He decided to make true to his agreement to Kagutsuchi, because even if he wanted to, it was clear that he couldn’t outrun the people who’d been watching him. His clothes had been torn and was burnt in various places, and Loki was no different, but he had brought a change of clothes for the both of them. They got changed quickly, and he followed Loki out of the Lupus Den, and into the world for the first time in years. He wore a pair of black pants and gloves, with a red form-fitting shirt underneath. Over the shirt he donned a black, high-collared, long sleeve mantle with red outlines that opened up towards the lower half of the garment. Around his waist was wrapped a simple red obi that held his sword in place across his back, and the ornaments in his hair were tucked away into the pouch on his left thigh. Loki was dressed in a similar blue mantle, while Ryōken’s hanging fur was knotted together by multiple red beads. The three of them headed south towards the Crimson State Island, where the Blood Tavern was located. While they traveled Kōtetsu realized that the world have changed greatly in the years he'd been gone. Numerous wars had taken place, causing the rise and fall of many prominent villages and factions. It wasn't the world he had once known, but in spite of this his Konohagakure came into his thoughts, but he quickly dismissed it from his head. He would never go back, and if he ever did it wouldn't be as an ally. The last leg of their journey took them a few days by boat, and once they arrived they went straight towards their objective. The Blood Tavern was an oasis for Missing Ninja, and various battle were taking place in and around it. Loki led him to table in a corner of the tavern that was dimly lit by a single candle that sat atop the table. Around it sat Zero, and a man with blue hair, and another shrouded figure. The two sat, with Kōtetsu taking the seat beside Zero. The blue haired man had a number of staffs leaning up in a corner, and the three of them seemed to be discussing something important. The hooded figure removed his covering, and Kōtetsu realized why he smelt so familiar. The man sitting across from his was the one who’d been there when he’d fought against Mugiwara, and again when he’d taken down Hasashi. It was the Pervy Sage, leader of the Akatsuki. Kōtetsu sprung to his feet and went to unsheath his sword, but Zero stopped him. Pervy laughed at this, but the rest of them were eerily quiet. It seemed as if he had ages considerably since he’d last seen him, but didn’t mean his strength had diminished. He sat down as instructed, but his body was shaking with anger. It had been years since he felt this way, and Ryōken let out a low growl beside him. He looked at the blue haired man again and realized that he was wearing an Akatsuki cloak, and he also smelled of death. Zero assured him that they meant no harm, and in response Kōtetsu angrily asked him why he had gathered around such people. Zero simply replied that the man to his right, Sharingdork, was a previous student of his, and that Pervy meant no harm. He explained that even though he’d once been the leader of Akatsuki, all he really wanted to do was fight. World conquest and the subjugation of villages meant nothing to him. Over the years the criminal organization had evolved, and so had it’s leaders. Pervy had retired, and it was now led by the infamous Lord of Kaos, who had gained seized control through a hostile takeover. That hadn’t sat well with some of its members, and now a civil war was brewing. Akatsuki was an organization that had the ability to change the world if they so wished, but never before had an event like this occurred. If Akatsuki went to war amongst themselves, they the world would become divided, and most likely crumble. The only way to avoid that was to ensure that it came to an end as soon as possible, and that meant that one side had to win. Kōtetsu didn’t even need to hear the rest. He’d already grasped the idea. They would build up support for Sharingdork in order to ensure his victory, but why did they need him? Pervy peered at him intently, and only by gazing back at him did he realize why.
Kōtetsu had been there from the beginning. Tenbatsu. Higure. The Anbu Black Ops. The rise of the Red Clouds. The fall of the Sound Village. The tailed beasts hunt. The numerous wars. The sinking of The Island Turtle. Besides Pervy, he had been there for all of it. He’d been a part of the cycle since the beginning. He knew all there was to know, and didn’t even realize it. Kagutsuchi had told him years ago that he’d hoped the right choice would be made, but not even he knew which choice was right, or where it would lead the him. Would he pursue his own path or justice? Or would he, for the sake of the world, become a demon that needed to be relinquished? He didn’t know, and as he debated what the decision to make, he felt Ryōken lick the back of his hand. He looked down at his partner and made up his mind. He would support Sharingdork. He had been ostracized by his clansmen, used and betrayed by his village, and repeatedly betrayed. All that was left now was for the world to turn against him, but he wouldn't stand for that. He would rather betray the world, than have it betray him. All that he had left to his was the fighting in which he could lose himself, and being around the Akatsuki would afford him the oppertunity to battle more powerful foes. With his decision made, Zero and Loki got up and left the tavern. They had things to prepare beforehand, and as they left a young man with spiky blond hair approached the table. He had deep blue eyes and olive skin, and judging from the way he and Pervy joked, they were definitely friends. He introduced himself as Kryptiic, and was apart of the Earth King’s faction. Weather he was a spy or not remained unclear at this point, but it seemed that he would be traveling with them for the time being. Sharingdork was a man of few words, and it seemed as if he preferred to remain isolated. Kōtetsu could already tell that their relationship would be strained, but didn't mention that. His main concern at this point was for Zero, as he couldn’t help but wonder how he’d come to know such individuals. Maybe there was a side to him that he’d never revealed to his other companions, or maybe this was a coincidence. Whatever it was, he didn’t really want to know. It was decided that he’d once again need to enlarge his skillset, and who better to do it that the man who once led the most powerful band of criminals? They accompanied Sharingdork back to the city of Minas Morgul, where he had duties to return to as the head of the Nekura clan. As he went about his duties, Kōtetsu, Pervy, and Kryptiic trained together for the coming war. Pervy taught him a number of techniques that were sure to be useful in battle, and even had him sign the toad summoning contract and learn it's accompanying techniques. He absorbed it all, but fighting alongside both his ninken and a giant frog made him feel as if he were running an animal farm. No matter. It would only be used when he needed it, which he hoped would be a rarity. Kryptiic seemed to be learning something else entirely, and it was sometimes fascinating to watch. He had been attempting to gather what was called 'natural energy', and attempt entering Sage Mode. It wasn't going that well though. All the while the war was drawing nearer, and they could tell by the heavy atmosphere that loomed over the city. They didn't have much time left......

Inuzuka Clan Techniques
As a member of the Inuzuka Clan Kōtetsu has greatly enhanced senses, especially his sense of smell and his sense of hearing. By concentrating chakra to his nose his sense of smell is amplified to an even greater extent, allowing him to detect, track, and monitor targets from a fair distance away.
Ninken
Ryōken is Kōtetsu's constant companion, and the two share a unique bond. One of fierce loyalty and devotion. Ryōken is from a rare breed of tiger wolves, and is said to be the last of his kind. He has red crimson eyes akin to his master's, and is covered in sleek golden fur on the top portion of his body, flowing white fur on the bottom, and numerous black stripes that litter his coat. The fur on the sides of his neck is knotted together by multiple red beads. Though he doesn't posse human speech, he and Kōtetsu are able to understand each other. He is roughly the same size as Akamaru and is capable of carrying people, but Kōtetsu rarely allows him to do so. He wears a gold colored bracer on each leg, and by twisting his legs in a certain manner he can momentarily release a short blade three inches in length from within.

Chakra Control & Suiton Primary Affinity
Kōtetsu has exceptionally high chakra control, and is capable of chaining techniques with great speed and switching between elemental techniques with ease. He has a natural affinity for water and is capable of unleashing attacks with a single handseal. He believes that the nature of water doesn't fit his outward personality, and as such only makes use of it when he deems it necessary.
Katon Secondary Affinity
He took a liking to Katon due to its eccentric and spontaneous nature, seeing as how it was similar to the uncontrollable rage that burned inside him Though it isn't his primary affinity he mastered the element in its entirety, and is able to perform the handseals for it's techniques faster than other shinobi. needing no more than a single handseal for any Katon type Technique.
Kenjutsu & Taijutsu Mastery
Kōtetsu first used a katana after he began training with the Anbu Black Ops, but only became really interested in it after he stole Kusanagi from the Hidden Sound Village. The physical training he undertook to supplement his sword skills ultimately allowed him to swing his sword faster than other swordsmen, and he studied kendo relentlessly in order to become proficient in it's stances. After mastering the sword arts in their entirety Kōtetsu eventually received the title of "Kenshin", meaning Sword God. Even though he was given this title he still felt that he had more to learn since he started late in his life, and would continue to do so once the opportunity presented itself.
Taijutsu went hand in hand with Kenjutsu, and without first mastering his own body he couldn't hope to master the sword. Armed with sharp nails and teeth, Kōtetsu's hand-to-hand combat is extremely dangerous, and after years of fighting in short range he became proficient in the field. He has a quick reaction time, honed reflexes, increased physical strength, and is also very fast. His flexibility and dexterity also makes him more than a formidable opponent for other taijutsu users of his own rank.
Summoning Techniques, Rats & Toads
Kōtetsu is the holder of the Rat Summoning Contract, which includes all rodents under the Rattus Genus that reside within the Underland of the Ninja World. He also has access to the Nezumi Techniques, the supporting ninjutsu of the Nezumi Contract. He possesses the tattoo of this summoning contract on his right side, spanning from just below his armpit and down to his waist.
He is also a signer of the Toad Summoning Contract, which includes all Toads that dwell on Mount Myobokuzan. He has access to the Toad Summoning techniques, the supporting ninjutsu of the Toad Contract. He possesses the tattoo of their summoning contract on his right arm, spanning from his shoulder down to his elbow.
Weaponry & Ninja Tool Assortment
Kusanagi: "Heaven Splitting Sword". Crafted by a master swordsmith, this blade is a chokutō that Kōtetsu stole from the Hidden Sounds Village, and was considered one of their national treasures. Though it was considered a treasure, the blade was shrouded within a dark legacy, with some saying that it brought out the murderous intent within a person, while other rumours claimed that the rage was inside the blade itself. It's is a bit larger in size than a normal chokutō, the blade is an inky black, and it's sheath sported the same color, but had a single red line spanning down the center. Kusanagi cut everything that crossed it’s path, it’s bloodlust indiscriminate to anything that dared crossed it’s blade.
He also has a wide assortment of kunai, shuriken and other various ninja tools stored in his pouch, which is kept tied on his left thigh for easy access. He carries smoke bombs, flash bombs, wires, paper tags, small scrolls, Kunai, shuriken, and various other tools.
Infinite One-Sword Style
The IOSS usually required a unique case that held a multitude of blades, but because of it's size Kōtetsu found it difficult to carry around. He combated this problem by having the case sealed within a specialized scroll that he usually keeps tied to his right hip. By simply opening the scroll the case will appear in hand.
Synesthesia
Kōtetsu suffers from a rare form of synesthesia known as Misophonia. This is a neurological disorder in which negative experiences such as anger, hatred, and disgust are triggered by specific sounds. Coupled with the fact that he has enhanced hearing, his short temperament and bad attitude is attributed to this disorder. It could be said that the reason he tends to look down on other around him as trash is also because of this.
