Juubi Jin =/= Immortality

Apparently, Absorbing the god tree equals to immortality.

I know Madara and Kaguya both said they're immortal, presumably because of the Juubi. Because why not.

But if they were actually immortal then why was Hagoromo, a Juubi Jin, aging and, you know, dying? Is there something I'm missing here?

Hagoromo died because of the juubi extraction. They are immortal.

Madara had Juubi + Rabbit + Shinju tree.
Hago only had Juubi. As I recall, Hago died after removing the Juubi. Juubi grants life force comparable to immortality.

Probably another hyperbole to exaggerate how great a juubi jinchuuriki life is compared to a regular person. Madara did prolong his life with just the Gedo mazo if I'm not mistaken. Although the longevity of the chakra tree is unknown to me, or even how it began.
