^_^ That right there is it my friend. UCHIHAS NEVER BETRAYED THE LEAF. They were the good guys.
I don't see your point. By planning a coup in the first place they betrayed the village.

What did you interpret?i might have interpreted that manga page differently from you
So the people who killed the Jew under Hitler's order were justified? nope. This, Itachi's actions were justified as they were gonna be wiped out either way.
lol what....the only reason they never betrayed the leaf is because they were killed before the coup could begin.........

The full story behind the coup, from the clans perspective, is not known yet and I bet you something else will be revealed like Obito/Madara was masterminding it from the shadows by manipulating the clan leaders, thats pretty much the only way I can see Sasuke changing his mind about getting revenge (thered be no point in him wanting to go to the "one who knows everything" if this wasnt going to happen).
And by pushing the Uchihas from the Village Konoha also betrayed the Uchihas....see this can go both ways.
There was no masterminding needed. The clan had the right to everything they were going to do.. The leaders of Konoha chose to blame the whole clan for something they had no proof of. They CHOSE to segregate them out of the city.... ;D.
Also, Sasuke wants revenge for what they did to Itachi.. not the Uchiha clan.
The Statues they are represented by
Uchiha - Buddha
Danzo - That god who i believe is suppose to be the devil or something
What did you interpret?

They were never going to betray the leaf...... It the leaders of the village that declared them traitors.. They want equality.. only 1 person at that time had the actual brains.. which was Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Do we have proof of their plan? nope. Do we know that they were aggressive? nope... Why? Because Fugaku didn't even try to fight back against his own son.. He simply gave up ....The uchiha's had no right to try to take over the leaf.
The Village had proof of this, Itachi was the informant and was the person who most likely brought it to their attention in the first place.
The thing is we DON"T KNOW if it was a coup or not. We simply don't. Now what can be analyzed is that when Itachi brought them the news.. it was about Uchiha going for a revolution... but the old lady said if by that Revolution they want political power BACK.. then they will be treated as traitors.hhmm I see where your coming from, but still there are other ways to find equality. I mean the uchiha went for a coup that would probably, if they succeeded, tipped the balance and given them way to much control in the village, and that's not equality, that my friend, is downright mutiny

If Danzo hadn't been there then Sarutobi would've just talked to them. The thing is Danzo and the other 2 geezers got scared that the uchiha might take some political power.
