There are other characters in the Manga (Kakashi, Sasuke, Gaara), who've had rougher lives than him and still see the light of the situation, his childhood sweetheart died for his village and instead of carrying on her will, he decides to become a puppet of Madara's hatred. I'd find Obito to be a more interesting character if Kishimoto changed around his childhood and his reasoning for disaster in the world. This is why I liked Obito more when his identity was unknown and his motives unaware.

you cant hate obito. his character is perfect for this manga. he is naruto but he's naruto if naruto had like died to save sasuke against haku but then woken up in a room with madara and escaped to find sasuke killing sakura
