We all have our own dreams
Things we'd like and things we fancy
Things we'll never have, or so it seems
And most of it is.. Well Just Fantasy
Today I woke up cemented in the past
Only to end the day dreaming like a fool
Today I woke up dreaming of things that won't last
And of things that happened in a fantasy duel
I dream of tomorrow and the next day
Thinking up things that'll never occur
Not content with what I know and what I have today
I'm still dreaming even as the afternoon begins to stir
It seems that as people we can't just go back
But we can't always go forward
At least not to always gain what we lack
I'm still dreaming but realism in me is moving coreward
Maybe it's time I moved one to the next dream
Or maybe it's time I paid more attention to what's real
All I can say is that things aren't always as they seem
I'll keep dreaming waiting for the nightmare courts' appeal
It's not so bad to dream
But don't lose track of what you can truly see
Because reality isn't always sugar and cream
Sometimes it truly is... Just Fantasy
