Just wondering what would have happened if the SO6P had just destroyed the 10 tailed beast all together?

YA, I mean i know that would make some characters weaker, but how much would it really change the story? Just curious

dont get me wrong I enjoy the story alot how it is lol. But I am guessing that the SO6P had the power possibly, but he knew something was going to happen later in the world. So I think maybe he did it to let the ninja in the Naruto verse find a way to make peace through the hardships ahead. Or maybe he expected his 2 boys to come together and work as one.

Well the bijuus got created from the 10-tails chakra/power by a user who's the sage who was the two clans+ two bloodlines in one and even user of the Izanagi to create things from imagination. So if he wanted to extinguish them all he could just had to erase the ten tailed beast and it would be over.
