Basic Information

Name: Juri Han
Nickname: Juri of the Magnetism
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Clan: N/A

Looks: Juri wears a purple dudou on her chest supported with eight straps that meet on her back, forming a spider pattern. She wears long, baggy, off-white colored trousers and purple tights, and long, fingerless gloves. Her fingernails and toenails are painted bright pink. She has dark hair styled into two horn-like bangs at the top of her head, which appear to be fastened with pink ribbons. She wears Taekwondo foot wraps on her feet.

Personality: Juri is a warrior who fights for the thrill of the battle (though the reason behind her drive is more vengeful) and also likes inflicting pain on her foes. She also has some femme fatale elements, as she sometimes makes provocative and suggestive remarks toward her opponents, and leaves those she was working with for her own reasons. Although she possesses a strong, sensual figure, she's shown to be a cunning and a somewhat reckless fighter with an angry urge to cause destruction to her arch enemies. She is a calculating woman, callous to her arch enemies at times, and treats her allies as pawns only if it is necessary. She ignores the rules at times to achieve her own goals. Juri is a highly skilled Taekwondo practitioner, making her a very prominent fighter. It is shown that she likes teasing and taunting her opponents at times before or even during battle, but also has respect for strong warriors who give her a great fight.

Background Info

History: Juri Han was born into a good family, which was well-off economically; her father, Ichiro, was a successful businessman, and her mother, Hanabi, an heiress. The future looked bright at the time. She was a happy little girl, endowed with a life of luxury and with intelligence. Her older brother, Kouhei, was good to her, and they got along with each other very well, as he was always doting on his beloved sister. However, the perfect picture fell apart when she turned five. That year was the year her parents split, and she had never seen her mother again. It was a confusing time for her.

Shortly after, her father married a middle class woman. Unbeknownst to Juri, her parents split following her mother's discovery of her future stepmother, Raylia, and Ichiro's illicit relationship. Her brother, like her mother, became a blur in her memory. At age ten, her brother had graduated from the Kumogakure ninja academy and was away most of the time, constantly carrying out missions. She was seven at the time. Ichiro had by then made the decision to move to Hi no Kuni, presumably for business reasons, and Juri became depressed. She wanted to remain in her native country, where she had the slightest chance to observe her brother train (that was how she learned a thing or two about being a ninja). Now she had no allies to distract her from that witch Raylia, whom she hated with the utmost passion.

Life since the move had been a huge bore for her, for she was not allowed to leave the house. She was to remain in it, the only place she was allowed to spend time in the outdoors being the garden. Her overprotective father drowned her in his, for lack of better words, overprotectiveness -- that is how she felt -- and her stepmother Raylia, the witch, was the one making sure it happened. Yes, for while her father was gone in one of his so-called business trips, she checked on her often, only to reprimand her if she was not practicing the flute. Her many nannies did the rest. They ensured she looked her best and gave her everything she wanted, and Juri -- a very smart girl -- knew they were paid to do so, and so she would make their lives miserable because they did not feel genuine affection for her, she knew. They were only in it for the money. She despised that, so she made them hate her the way she hated them -- replaceable and cold beings. She wanted to be treated like a human, not a pretty doll.

What Raylia and Juri had was a sort of a rivalry. Juri hated the witch and wanted to make her look bad in her father's eyes and did not hesitate at any opportunity to do so. However, her attempts would always backfire, instead making herself look bad and being called a disgrace to her family. She would be sent to her room to contemplate her actions, only to become further engrossed in her attempts to exact revenge on Raylia for taking everything from her, for being the source of change that she had never grown accustomed to, and for taking her mother away. What happened to mother anyway?

It is usually in these times when she stares out her bedroom window. She had a good view here, and she was glad for that. At least she could stare at something beautiful. They had a wonderful garden, and she remembered the one back at home, her real home. The one in Kaminari no Kuni. She would then train in the dark, remembering her brother and his brief lessons on chakra control. He could not bear to see those begging golden eyes, the poor boy. Although forbidden to do so, she indulged in the life of the shinobi in secret -- the information leaking from her kind older brother, for he had pity on her lonely heart. The memories...she cherished them. That was all she had left.

One day, she grew tired of it all. Everything was just so...tiresome. Pointless. She could not bear the thought of staying at that home one more day. She felt bad for leaving her father, but...what relationship did they have? They barely talked. Things were just not the same anymore. And her relationship with Raylia was not getting any better either. Their relationship had gotten so strained, it took an awful lot of self-control for Juri not to slap her. Her brother...she needed to find him. And her mother too. Especially her mother. She had to go back, run away from this place. It wasn't like anyone cared now. Using her best sneaking abilities, she silently walked away through the door, her flute in hand, and a backpack carrying the things she considered necessary for her travel. She was going to move on, prove her independence, and forge a path for herself. No one will tell her what to do now. She was on her own.

To be continued...
