He did stop it but got overpowered after he stopped it, jugo should not be underestimated, minato and naruto could dodge raikage but jugo has reflexes,speed and power, enough to stand his ground, see the raikage coming and block his punch, that is a great feat but lets not get off topic

No one is underestimating Juugo ... But sure he was able to stop the Raikage for 5 seconds but the size of that Hole could've killed him if he was in his normal form + Didn't u see how raikage pawned him with his arm and sent him flying to the back of the stage ...

Yeah, lee can´t sustain the gates for very long so if jugo can manage to survive and the gates closes then jugo wins, he can use his cursed-mark lvl2 to help him hold his own against lee
