Yes actually it made more sense than what you're trying to show as 'facts'.
The fact is we didn't know anything about Itachi or Kisame's movesets.Amaterasu is instant and his Genjutsu can't be broken out of without someone else disrupting the chakra flow.

The fact that you cling to Part 1 scans proves my point, its been proven wrong after the Sasuke vs Itachi and Kisame vs Kirabi fight.

Except hes not.. If you use an ounce of logic its quite clear to see that Itachi couldve pieced up J-Man in that hallway himself. Theres no way in hell Jiraiya dodges amaterasu in that cramped hallway. Throwing Kisame into that equation isnt even necessary
