I think Itachi and J-man are about the same strength. Yea sure, Itachi has all those fancy Susano'o weapons and all but he really can't use it for a long time(actually very short time due to illness and low charka levels). My guess is if J-man doesn't get caught in Tsukuyomi then he might be able to go to Sage Mode and win.

Jiraya isn't even as strong as oro. Jiraya only has the rasengan and a weak version of sage mode. The real top 10 is Hashi, Madara, Itachi, naruto, Nagato, tobirama, sasuke, hiruzen, orochimaru, and either muu or the 3rd raikage

Yeah Itachi was a double agent and didnt want to have to kill jiraya or naruto. Part 1 isn't even relevant in comparison to the powers in shippuden
