You don't have to like either, but once Goku saw Jiren try to hurt his friends he overpowered Jiren and had him at his mercy till his body gave up on him, Jiren would have been eliminated by Goku had this not happened. Does are the facts and i only debate facts.

Oh trust me I understand, but this is a shonen manga, this stuff happens all the time and has been a thing for a very long time. You can't just chalk it up as plot armor or MC power up when its not convenient for you.

Yes it can, Jiren was stated multiple times by synopsis to be using his full power before he went shirtless and he was getting owned by MUI before he magically just got stronger from a flashback. He basically powered up the way Vegeta did against Toppo, its no different than a plot power up.
