I was under the impression that the implication was that if literally all the Gods of Destruction shat their pants over Goku going UI (in part because none of them have achieved that power), and if UI Goku still wasn't enough to wipe the floor with Jiren, then by default Jiren would wipe the floor with any God of Destruction.
Then again, this is Super (anime) we're talking about - where the power scales are written on an episode-to-episode basis, thus they mean literally nothing.
People seem to have forget what Whis said(Anime only)
That there is a mortal who is stronger than their GoD, and that GoD is even stronger than Beerus
This was when goku asked whis what their chances of winning were because Vegeta was complaining about Frieza joining
Again, that’s anime only & that fact only got brought up once so maybe they retconned it and hope we forgot.

Multiple sources. Firstly Whis has implied in a prior episode that Beerus is weaker than Belmod and Belmod admits Jiren is stronger than him. Whis also explicitly states Jiren has surpassed the Gods when he took down the spirit bomb with just a glare.
Also Limit breaker Jiren was holding his own with a Mastered UI Goku which is something he Gods don't have.

Who cares if Jiren is stronger than GoD or not but the most satisfying fact is that Jiren still league above Goku. The first time in history of DB that at the end of arc the MC is not surpassing his rival/opponent in PL not even any other Z fighters where in the past we saw Goku surpassing Piccolo, Goku surpassing Freiza and then Gohan surpassing SP Cell later followed by Goku and Vegeta and lastly Goku surpassing Majin Buu.

Goku’s incomplete ultra instinct gave Jiren a run for his money in which Whis said Beerus already have. The difference is that in the anime it was stated and in the manga it was shown.
Ultra instinct still uses the same super saiyan blue god ki on top of the omen technique but Beerus himself has more god ki than blue Goku anyways.
In the manga Beerus and universe 3 god of destruction are stronger than the rest of the gods, while Jiren is only stated to be stronger than a god Belmod which has nothing to do with the other gods that are stronger than Belmod.
Beerus having incomplete omen puts him above Jiren combat-wise without it Jiren can volley. Ki wise, Beerus is a god who is all around better since he can give life to whoever he pleases and take it with a single thought. Fighting like a god > like a warrior to a certain extent.
Jiren is just known for having overwhelming mortal ki that surpasses SOME gods which is obscene yet interesting. Take that ki energy away and you have cqc being below super saiyan goku and final form frieza as shown in the last episode (anime wise, manga may differ).
Jiren’s strength is in his overwhelming Ki not his combat skills, they don’t meet up to his Ki standards.

If Jiren was stronger than Beerus than it would've been outright said, like it was when we found out Jiren was stronger than Belmod

MUI Goku is still stronger than vegeta, Jiren, GoDs etc.
Him not having access to it at the moment doesn't change that.
We also don't know this for a fact, both Goku and Vegeta would have gotten big zenkais after the tournament, now tell me, what's more likely, Vegeta being way stronger than kaioken Blue Goku or them both being equal in the forms in the next movie? I'm going with the latter honestly.

MUI Goku is not stronger than Full power Jiren. What makes Goku look hard to put down by Jiren is "power of trust" trope played out by DBS Toei. In Fairy Tail we have the power of friendship. Being a MC is also part of the reason.
And Jiren got a backstory power up to even contend with MUI, so I don't see your point.
You don't have to like either, but once Goku saw Jiren try to hurt his friends he overpowered Jiren and had him at his mercy till his body gave up on him, Jiren would have been eliminated by Goku had this not happened. Does are the facts and i only debate facts.
It doesn't matter if it's MC power up or not MUI Goku is > FP Jiren.
