Jiraya was stronger in his prime??

I always hear about Hiruzen prime, that he was old, etc, but when was his prime exactly? He was 68 when he died. Was his prime during the Kyubis attack 13years ago(that means he was 55)? If not, when then?

Cuz when i see the popular belief, they seem to be saying that Hiruzens prime was around 30-40. They thinks that cuz they say after these years, your body weakened itself.

But if it is the case, that means also that Jiraya(who was 54 when he died, around the same age as Sarutobi during the Kyubis attack) wasn't in his prime also, right?

And if it's the case, does that means Jiraya in his prime was even stronger than during his fight against Pain?

Maybe, but I don't think Jiraiya in his prime is such a big difference to what he was when he fought Pain, maybe slightly more agile...

Jiraiya was incredibly powerful. But not sure on how powerful he was when in his prime.

No, because age effects people differently. Hiruzen's prime may very well have been between 30 - 40, and this is the way it seems (with regards to how the manga has spoken of his prime years). Jiraiya on the other hand, well, his body may not have been so greatly influenced by his age. Thus, it may very well turn out his prime was indeed at around the age he died, about 56. For example, it's unlikely he would've ever mastered Sage Mode. So he was in the best condition he could've been in. It's hard to imagine a younger Jiraiya doing so well against Pain, considering the level he, Orochimaru and Tsunade were at when they were defeated by Hanzo (when they were in their 20's).

Depends really. Jiraiya had gotten much stronger, in my opinion as his wisom grew. While he was younger, he was rather childish, but regardless a great ninja.. >.> I don't know; ask Masashi.

i think jiraya still had alot to show before he died i dont tihnk his true power was shown in his final fight with pain also is kabuto truely wanted to capture nine tails he would have done everything possible to get jiraya back because naruto wouldnt be able to fight jiraya so woul dhave been easy capture =)

This thread shows you how ignorant people are once it comes the naruto time-line lol Hiruzen was 69 when he died. J-man was 54. Also, i do believe sage mode might have made him a formidable challenge for hiruzen but we cannot really say.

Sarutobi was old as hell onoki is also out of his prime he is just like hiruzen when he was old but he has back problems and charka is unstable. Danzo had the sharingan and hashi cell that is the only reason why he stand a chance against sasuke cause without those he would of died in a min. Jiraya did not mastered sage mode he was half frog half man.
