it's a pity we saw so little of both of them, such awesome ninjas i think jiraiya would have defeated every one of the akatsuki bar pein dammit.

i like jiraiya's variety of jutsu and his character, but minato would win this. he definitely won't give jiraiya time to enter sage mode

yeah but Kakashi was Sasuke's sensei, but Minato was Jiraya's student, for a student being so brilliant as to create his own jutsu and teach it to his teacher, then creating another jutsu which also past on to the 3rd Hokage, that sort of genius doesn't come very often, and Sasuke, Jiraya and almost no one in the show could surpass that. Not saying he's the strongest, but he certainly has immense talent.
