Did we ever found out who Jyraiya secret infornmant was?because he seems to always know what or where the akatsuki was

I don't think there ever was an informant. Jiraiya was just the master of espionage and reconnaissance and was constantly gathering information on Oro and Akatsuki.

I think kishi made jman say that to give the akutski some mystery and make the readers pay more attention to them. Plus jman does give info on pain... I know that's not what you referred to but I guess in the very end he did have some info.

Well he seemed goofy and just a perv going around in bars to look for women, but actually he really did know what he was doing, and sometimes going to a bar is the best place to find out about stuff, when people drink to much, they also start talking to much... so just going from town to town, pretending to fool around while actually doing research on the bad guys... and he was the best at it
