The tale of when Jiraiya met Minato's Squad
After Jiraiya fought Hanzo with Orochimaru and Tsanade and becoming known as the Sannin, he encountered 3 orphans on the way home who he decided to stay with and train for 3 years. When the 3 years were over jiraiya returned to the village and after a few months became a jounin, and would then gain and mentor his own squad....
Walking up the steps to the hokages office...
Jiraiya: I cant believe im getting my own squad, i hope they dont get in the way of my research
heheJust as Jiraiya reached the door it was opening...
A second later Orochimaru was walking out looking bitter.
Jiraiya: Orochimaru!
Orochimaru: Oh look who it is, its the clumsy pervert whos come to see who his new pets are (with a snide tone and evil look on his face)
Jiraiya: A leaders squad arnt his pets! And whats it to you? why do you care?
Orochimaru: Thats just it, i dont care.
Jiraiya: Damn you Orochimaru (raising his fist)
Orochimaru: It always was fun winding you up, anyway ive got better things to do than standing around making small talk with 3rd rate ninjas like you (laughing)
Jiraiya: God dam you.... (as orochimaru disappears in a puff of smoke)
Jiraiya continues into the office to see the 3rd hokage staring out of the window.
Sarutobi: Im glad you came Jiraiya, how are you?
Jiraiya: I guess you could say im quite good, what of youself?
Sarutobi: Ive seen better days, but enough of me, i assume you know why you were called here?
Jiraiya: Im being assigned a squad of gennin today?
Sarutobi: Correct, but for there rank they are quite skilled, do you think you are ready?
Jiraiya: As ready as ill ever be i guess.
Sarutobi: Your squad are waiting for you down by the training grounds, dont underestermate them
Jiraiya: I wont sensai
Jiraiya then left the office and made his way to the training grounds, there waiting under the tree were 3 gennin, first was a Boy slim with spikey blonde hair with a cheeky smile, next was a young girl with short brown hair with a shy kind of look on her face. Finally was a boy who had slightly dark skin and a serious look on his face.
The young blonde boy: Are you our squad captain or are you just hiding up in that tree for a laught.
Jiraiya: Your good kid (drops out of tree landing in front of the 3) Im Jiraiya your new sensai.
The young blonde boy: Hello sir, my name is Minato, this is Shin (pointing to the other boy) and this shina (pointing to the girl next to him)
Shin: Hello sensai
Shina: Its nice to meat you sir
Jiraiya: Thats enough of calling me sir, jeez, you guys sure know how to make a guy feel old ey? Anyway today its time to test your skills and see your strengths and weeknesses, you are going to be tested as a team, as thats part of being a shanobi, if you fail this test you will be sent back to the accademy.
Minato: Well i guess we are going to have to pass it then
Jiraiya thinking: "There something about this kid, i like him "
Shina: So how will we be tested?
Jiraiya: Im glad you asked, your objective is to take these 2 bell attached to my belt, its that simple, if you get a bell you pass, the loser goes without lunch and then is sent back to the accademy.
Shin: But if there are only 2 bells though, that means only 2 of us can pass?
Jiraiya: You are correct, you guys have an hour to think it over or talk or what ever you like, then the test begins...
While jiraiya sleeps in a tree for the hour before the test Minato, Shin and Shina stand in the middle of the training ground looking anxious.
Minato: (Thinking) Why does it have to be like this, why can only 2 of us pass this test, it just doesnt make sence to me! We worked together for so long trying to become better ninja as a team and now one of us has to go back to the academy =/
Shin: Why does it have to be this way?
Both Minato and Shina look up at Shin.
Shin: Weve worked hard to get this far but it was all for nothing, now we are are expected to work as a team just so one of us can be left behind? Its just not fair!
Shina: We will figure something out!
Minato: We always do, were a team after all
Jiraiya: Well times almost up, are you guys ready to begin or do you want the full hour?
Minato: I was born ready
Jiraiya: We if your so confident, then come show me what youve got
Jiraiya drops out of the tree and into the middle of the training ground
Jiraiya: I forgot to tell you, you only have 3 hours to complete this test, if non of you have a bell by then, you all go back to the academy, lets begin!
First shin creates 2 shado clones and runs at Jiraiya in a triangular formation while Shina moves behind Jiraiya.
Just as Shin reaches Jiraiya he jumps and Shin and his 2 clones run into Shina.
Jiraiya: Wow you guys are good, i never expected you to be able to use shadow clones at your level, but remember you should never just attack an opponent head on and your supposed to be a team so work together!
Jiraiya looks to where Minato was standing, but hes not longer there, he looks up just in time to Minato attacking from about with kick, Jiraiya catches his leg and swings him round towards the ground and then lets go.
Just as Minato is about to hit the ground he uses the shadow clone jutsu to create a clone underneath him to cushion his fall then flips over into a crouching position.
Jiraiya: (thinking) These kids are better than i thought.
Minato: I guess i now know why you are known as one of the legendary sannin
(thinking- but this is going to be alot tougher than i thought)Next chapter: The fist test continues
This is my first attempt at writing a naruto piece, if i get good feedback ill write the next one but if not ill just give up
