As they start to run forward, Mangetsu slams both his hands to the ground shouting:

Mangetsu begins to run forewards with his sword held out to the side, as he draws close, he jumped in the air
towards Jiraiya swinging his blade downwards towards Jiraiyas face.
Just as the sword was about the slice him, Jiraiya pulled out 2 kunai crossing his right hand over his left
So the kunai are crossed looking like a pair of scissors and he blocks the sword between them!
Jiraiya: (thinking) Shit, what force behind this attack!
Mangetsu: Hmm, ive never seen someone block my blade before, so your better than the average ninja ey?

As he says this Jiraiya pushes upwards forcing Mangetsu back to land of his kunai and he lands back on his feet, the Jiraiya uses
Jiraiya: Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!
Just then Mangetsu starts to sink in to ground which has turned to a swampy mud.
Mangetsu: Huh, earth style ey? Nice try!
Mangetsu then formed a hand seal with on hand and suddenly the ground solidified, as it did, Mangetsu, jumped up and back a meter braking the
floor as he did it.
Jiraiya: I guess earth style is no use!
Mangetsu: My turn, Earth style: Earth wall jutsu!
As he did this a sqare meter wall of rock rose in front of Mangetsu.
Mangetsu: Earth style: 1000 Earth Bullets Jutsu!
As he did this technique, thousands of pieces of rock shaped like bullets, began to fire from the wall directly at Jiraiya, before he could react he was
hit by 20 earth bullets knocking him back!
Jiraiya: Shit! Barrier: Dome Method Formation!
Suddenly a small dome appeared around Jiraiya deflecting the bullets!
Mangetsu: A barrier? This guys better than i thought!
Jiraiya: Shit, this ones going to be tough to beat!
