Kakashi would never use kanui off bat. and even with kamui cannot defeat Jman. Jman is underrated its sad. Only uchiha fans fall in love with 1 hit jutsu's assuming they can win off bat.

Bro you realize that the reason itachi said that was simply because he did not want to kill jiraiya a legendary sannin. Remember itachi loved the leaf villiage and really couldnt care less about akatsuki's plans to have to kill a sannin. And even if itachi really believed that, most of the time he overestimated his opponents which is a good thing and a lot better than underestimating.

I suppose Jiraiya would have to use Food Cart Destroyer or Underworld Swamp as quickly as possible to beat Kakashi.

Logically though, Kakashi may perhaps be the most powerful character in the series due to how hax Kamui 1 is. Madara may even get one-shotted.

I think people are going by implied power-rankings. Kakashi isn't suggested to be in the same tier as the others, like Naruto or the Hokages, so people don't believe we're supposed to believe he is.
