here we see jiriaya stating to the man he captured that "our talk will end here and I will keep you here for the time being."

so from here we know that jiriaya turned one guy to a frog and kept one guy alive. CAPTURED IN THE BELLY OF THE TOAD

so here we see the fake jiraiya telling the frog to take the Captured shinobi back to Konoha.. you remember he was the guy in the belly of the toad..

the next page we see the fake jiraiya saying "here we go I hope this works" now from there I personally thought he was talking about capturing pein or konan in that shadow technique that he used, BUT take a look at this...

awww heres my point.. the captured shinobi that was in the belly of the toad that jiraiya sent back to konoha to ibuki is now free? no my friends that is actually jiriaya himself.. the jiraiya pein is fighting is nothing but a clone. I thought that this was false but I finally realized that now after the last couple of chapters. jiraiya wasnt too upset when he lost his arm.. and now you know the reason why..

So heres the run down if the links or something doesnt work

jiraiaya captured 2 shinobis in chapter 369 and turned one into a frog. the other captured shinobi was stuck in the belly of the toad and sent back to konoha. jiraiya took the form of the captured shinobi to try to trick pein and konan. konan supposively read through the disguise but didnt. jiraiya now knows of pein's six bodies and abilities.. next few chapters we may see the real Jiraiya.. thanks for your time...

Most people have probably read Miggy's theory about Jiraiya being alive, I had a look into this myself and found a few things which don't seem to make sense at all.

In this picture we see Jiraiya saying, "I hope they fall for this" (or in the one i read "I hope this works")

When you see this you would think that Jiraiya has transformed into the rain ninja. But I don't think this is the case, I think he is controlling the ninja's body from his shadow, you see him come out of the shadow here.

You might think that this is a clone, but there a few signs which make me wonder.

If you look at the first picture, he is suprised by the papers, if it really was Jiraiya, he'd know about the jutsu already.

And if you look at his face, he is genuinely scared, if it was a clone why would it be scared.

And it's almost certain that the Jiraiya that fought Pein wasn't a clone, as clones disappear after being attacked, as we all know.

I'm not discounting miggy's theory, I just think that all this stuff is quite strange.

Please correct me if I missed something

I looked around to see if i could find the page where Ibiki gets the rain ninja to interrogate, if someone knows where this is, please tell me, because that would condradict what i thought about the rain ninja that Jiraiya was using.

And i do find it a little strange the way the rain ninja acts, it might well be a clone, i'm not positive, it's just what I found when i looked into it.

umm the expression on his face wouldnt prove anything. he hasnt seen the technique in years, he would still be surprised. and the shadow created could be a clone he made at the last minute to throw them off and distract them from the real jiraiya.

What i mean by this is, Miggy's theory about the rain ninja being a clone is what i think is most likely, i'm just posting a few things which seem wierd.

I actually think that the rain ninja was a clone myself.

I like your theory about him being alive and all and I hope it's true. But could a clone go into sage mode? I mean it may be possible that his clone can but it doesn't seem likely.

dude i understand u find some things wierd or strange or whatever but u didnt need to copy my stuff and use it you could have just posted your views. its like you trying to show me up or something. if u have a different view u dont have to single out MY THREAD

Jiraiyas dead for the simple fact that he burned a message into a toad, and had a massive "i wanted to die befitting a shinobi" speech.

Both of which seems completely strange if it wasnt really him.

As to the arm being blown off and him not caring, well, hes up against someone who can actually beat him-fairly easily, i wouldnt care about my arm either, more my life.
