Jiraiya could have done a lot better with Naruto

If you think about all the techs Jiraiya displayed in the Hidden Rain, and a couple of techs he used against Itachi you will come to realize that he didn't teach Naruto much.

Rasengan, Odama rasengan, a basic genjutsu disillusionment technique which was completely ineffective against Itachi, and some basic stuff in part one.

So now the question is what was the point of Naruto going off with him in the first place? IMO Naruto would have did much better staying with Kakashi during timeskip. At least he would be a Chunin and get to actually lead some missions.

becuase kakashi couldnt teach him like Jman could, kakashi could at the most show him the techniques and leave him to figure it out but naruto would obvuisly be there for a while trying to figure out how to break a gengutsu.....also for protection reasons

i think soo too i feel like the 2 year skip was a waste of time naruto barely learned anything.

i thought jman would teach him some seals
or some frog jutsu or something like that.

Compared to Orochimaru training Sasuke, Jiraiya fails IMO but at least he made Naruto some what better at that time.

Taught him rasengan???? I think the dang cat with the ball of yarn taught him just as much about how to perform rasengan.

Jiraiya didn't teach Naruto sage techs because at the time, Naruto wasn't a sage.
Also, he went with Jiraiya for protection against akatsuki, at the time, Jiraiya was the most skilled shinobi that the leaf had. Plus, if Naruto had of lost his mind and turned 4tails, Kakashi would die, not even Orochimaru could take him out in shippuden. That means that a non shippuden kakashi wouldn't stand a chance.

If Jiraiya didn't do much for Naruto then stop watching and reading because Naruto thanks Jiraiya in every battle. Naruto fights in the name of his fallen Sensei.

Already jman taught more than enough to naruto. Did you forget how dumb naruto was?? But comparing to oro?? I dont think oro taught sasuke he just tested sasuke's strength. Sasuke improved himself. We can see naruto's improvement when he fought kakashi

Techniques like swamp of the underworld wouldn't fit narutos style. You cant just tech you student every tech you know because it might not work for him like it does for you.

Anyways he still could have took Naruto to Mount Myoboku to learn Sage Mode. We know that at least he wouldn't have to train Naruto himself.

but the reason naruto was a come at u bro type fighter is because his only jutsu was rasengan which is close range so he has to come at u to win. if he learned other techniques he would have revised his fighting. like after he got rasenshuriken he started to use decoys and other strategy

Jiraya had its limitation with training as Naruto use to turn to 4 tails as he use to rely on 9 tails chakra very much at that time... don't forget Jiraya was almost killed while training Naruto...

Also training a fool like Naruto is far too difficult then training Sasuke...
