Jiraiya and Tsunade vs Six Paths of Pain

Even after I saw Jiraya die I thought to myself "all he needed was a decent partner to buy him some time, so he could figure out where Nagato is".

If Tsuande was with Jiraiya when he infiltrated Amegakure , would both of them together be able to beat the Six Paths of Pain? I know people always underrate Tsunade, but she is "immortal" (I know you can't split cells forever)

So what do you guys think, could they have beaten them if they were together?

And I just want to note, just don't say Chibaku Tensei=Auto Win for the Six Paths of Pain. Nagato wouldn't indiscriminately slaughter his own people if he was fighting in Amegakure

It seemed like the hidden rain village evacuated more efficiently than the hidden leaf village. When Jiraiya fought Pain there wasn't a single civilian around.

Which means Pain can go all out. Pain would have let loose with summoning, but after Jiraiya and Tsunade fought back with summonings of their own Pain would resort to using all of the 6 paths. He would fight more seriously if Tsunade was there as well.

Almighty Push knocks out any of Jiraiya or Tsunade`s summons. Jiraiya in sage mode isn't a match for Shurado's in close quarters. Gakido absorbs all ninjutsu. Ningendo 1 hit kills either of them when he gets close: he's untouchable with Gakido and Shurado around. Chikushodo summons a multitude of special summons, and is capable of summoning shields and quickly summoning the other paths to his location to move them from harms way. Ningendo is there to restore any paths that fall by some miracle. Tendo uses universal pull and 1 hit kills them with his chakra weapons.

I think that the two Sannins could pull it off. Obviously if Oro was there they would be pretty unstoppable, even against the Six Paths of Pain

I would bet on the two sannin. Pein started with only one body but realized at least three were necessary. Knowing he was fighting two legendary sannins I would imagine he would use start with three and realize he needed all 6. Allowing Jiraiya and Tsunade to surmise what was happening faster and developing a strategy against him. And I don't really think you can hurt Katsuya.... Toads yes... but if you try to hit her she just breaks into smaller slugs

since jiraiya and Tsunade lacked knowledge about pains abilities and Pain can use celestial terra blast, Pain wins this with ease. Restrict Chibaku Tensei and give Tsunade and Jiraiya full knowledge about pains abilities and we may can have a debatte. in this conditions i would say Pain with mid difficult because for jiraiya there's no need for deva and deva himself can kill Tsunade with shinra tensei an bansho tenin only.
