Jiraiya and Orochimaru

Tsunade said to Oro that if he might have changed earlier Jiraiya would still be alive do you guys think that if Oro fought with Jiraiya against pain that they would have beat him

It's very possible, but I don't think she meant that fight in particular. I think she meant if he'd just work with Jiraiya in taking down Akatsuki, they could have done it.

A few people have brought this up already. If Orochimaru never had his arms trapped in the Reaper's stomach then I believe Orochimaru and Jiraiya could've tackled Pain together.

I believe that they could have taken Pain on together. Add Tsunade and it'll be a breeze. Not really but you get my point... :|

if they knew his abilities, they would win low/mid difficulty. if they had no intel whatsoever, and konan worked with pain, they lose

I believe she was speaking generally as well as specifically. Generally in the sense that if Orochimaru-sama been more positive, he and Jiraiya-sama would have taken down the Akatski. I'm sure although she could've meant a more broader picture, you can't but help think that if Oro was a better person in the series he could've have helped Jiraiya defeat or at least escape Pein at that time...

Also, there's no telling how much intel Oro had on Pein, Nagato and Tobi...makes me wonder if he even suspected Obito, or at least had some hint that Tobi was not the real Uchiha Madara?!

If oro would have been changed a long time back definitely Jiraiya would have been alive. Oro would have helped him in every serious mission and never let him die. Also this duo would have been very strong & tough match-up for any shinobi.

It comes down to the whole teammate/rival combo that ends up being awesome.

Hashi/Madara
Hiruzen/Danzo
Jiraiya/Oro
Kakashi/Obito
Naruto/Sasuke

And seeing as though they are so powerful, it is almost guaranteed that they would make an amazing combo!

Orochimaru has experience when it comes to people with special abilities and with jiraiya's strenght pain would definitely go down
