however im not so sure it even would work.
obito rejected the world and wanted a new one. that has nothing to do with arrogance, cockiness or belief in invincibility because of his izanagi. he was as cautious as ever vs everyone pre rinnegan, even commenting to minato he deserved his title.
it also has nothing to do with trying to change himself and steal powers like kabuto. he didnt have much of a choice when he got hashirama's cells.
sure his long term goal was near invincibility but he hadnt gotten there yet.
all he has to do to end izanami is say "your right im not invincible". which hes already well aware of. his only real offence is genjutsu. plus its likely he was the one who taught it to itachi in the first place.
