thus itachi had the chance, a better one than anyone, to stop the war and didnt, just to save himself a mangekeyo.

however im not so sure it even would work.
obito rejected the world and wanted a new one. that has nothing to do with arrogance, cockiness or belief in invincibility because of his izanagi. he was as cautious as ever vs everyone pre rinnegan, even commenting to minato he deserved his title.
it also has nothing to do with trying to change himself and steal powers like kabuto. he didnt have much of a choice when he got hashirama's cells.
sure his long term goal was near invincibility but he hadnt gotten there yet.

all he has to do to end izanami is say "your right im not invincible". which hes already well aware of. his only real offence is genjutsu. plus its likely he was the one who taught it to itachi in the first place.

You didn't read chapter 606 page 5-6, did you?

Madara said as long as you have both senju+uchiha in your
Body, you can use those techniques.

He taught him those techniques, the only thing he couldn't do is
Use the shared vision.

So yes, he can use those techniques without the rinnegan

He had to use the rod for a six path technique as "MS Obito," but jinchuuriki obito couldn't use his Kumai (idk rinnegan) only advance yin-yang release and mokuton.

Ms Obito's only yin yang Justu is, well inzangi <---apparently it is classified as one

Izanami doesn't deal with just "arrogance, cockiness or belief in invincibility"

It is used for those who deny the reality of who they are and the situation they have placed themselves in.

Be it may that Arrogance is what usually becomes of someone who travels down that path.

With that said.

Izanami is not practical in battle.
It requires a series of steps and has a built in escape route.
The only reason it was suitable for itachi was because he was dead and could take blows that would of killed others so he could easily set up repetitive events to lay the trap down for izanami in the first place.

Someone who is alive would have a much harder time setting up the steps because they themselves would have to stay alert of their enemy.


The anime was nothing but filler and the battle portrayed using izanami is not how a battle between itachi and obito would go down.

Why would itachi risk his eyes in a battle that he might of lost ? Remember these two were weary of each other for a reason.
He had a better plan.

no i don't think so...! obito doesn't have twisted will...! he actually believed what he was doing was the right thing...! and anyway for izanami to work you need to do a lot of work and with obito's intangibility (considering we are talking about pre jin obito) it would have been impossible to recreate body sensation and connect them and we are still neglecting the fact that obito most probably knows about izanami since he is perfect user of izanagi and knows about clan history as well in which izanami was used quite frequently....!

Calm down, just because OP is wrong and Itachi has close to no chance against Obito, it doesn't mean you have to make things up.
Nothing indicates Obito has Izanami. Just because he possesses Izanagi doesn't mean he has the other jutsu, too.
