Naruto has been much shorter than Naruto Shippuden (I'm looking at the magna, not anime because it has fillers). So, I'm thinking that Naruto Shippuden is the REAL seris, and Naruto was just a background story thing. In other words, the only purpose of Naruto was to sort of give you a background of the characters, and the actual seris is Naruto Shippuden; sort of like the Star Wars thing (1-3 is just to give a background for 4-6), except the background came first. What do you think?

Lol. 1-3 episodes of Star Wars weren't background for episodes 4-6. They are two seperate trilogies, and they cover two timelines and form together to make one story. Kishi probably had the intent of making Naruto with Shippuden later on, but every story needs a nice opening. That's what part 1 is/was, an opening to a story. The whole thing is one big story, no one part of it is overshadowing the other. All of it depicts the story of Naruto Uzumaki (and in a lot of cases Sasuke Uchiha, the second main character of the series) and it's all sections of his "journey" to become the Hokage.

You got it all wrong, Sharingdork. Naruto Shippuden is actually the prequel of Indiana Jones, staring Harrison Ford. Harrison Ford plays the roll of Indiana Jones, a rough going grimy archaeologist always going on wild and crazy adventures and usually stumbling upon some kind of silly trinket of history. Almost always, Indiana Jones is battling Nazis, or Communists. Indiana Jones, amazing as he is has only one fear: Snakes. Which is how Oorochimaru became Indiana Jone's nemesis. Now, instead of just Nazis, Indiana Jones is undergoing extreme ninja training in order to battle Orochimaru. The next Indiana Jones movie (to be announced) will be called Indiana Jones and the Hidden Leaf Village.

Ok i have a serious question Zombie, are you high!!???

As for Sharingdork, I would have to agree with you on some of it. I don't think it's like the Star Wars, but it does show more of Naruto's Shippuden self than the short Naruto.

Actually I think the original Naruto was the main series and this is the milking of it's popularity. I personally found the original Naruto series more of a fun story than this Shippuuden. There were more memorable fights, it was more about friendship and it had a nice fresh world (Shinobi World) and noone was overpowered. In Shippuuden everyone got too powerful and the whole feeling of being a shinobi is gone it's more about these extreme jutsus.
