It's SAO a good anime?

Amazing, by now someone would have said it's terrible in most forums. It's pretty average, people hype it up to be the greatest thing ever which in turn gets people saying it's the worst thing in existence. SAO Abridged exists and is much better.

In general, any anime fan needs to see it, if only to say why they didnt like it. that seems to be its purpose.

The animation quality is exceptional, and the concept idea is interesting especially in today's day and age. While the plot is understandable and captivating, the execution is fairly poor in my eyes. Though, I'll watch absolutely anything with quality animation, simply cause I love seeing the detail and care.

Character development for some people's potential feel wasted in my eyes, and Kirito is either a character you like or don't like, and you once you realize, I doubt your perception of him will change.

Overall, I'd give it a 6.5/10

no. It had a good premise but went to typical harem shit midway through season 1. Then it was all downhill from there.

First season of SAO was alright.

It turned into utter garbage really fast. It's more of a harem stereotypical anime with a Gary Stu MC (although he was already like this in the first season). Even his character design speaks volumes on just how much 'thought' when into the anime.

Jokes aside, it's worth your time if you like those type of boring cliche MMORPG style animes. The fighting scenes are cool too.

For plot, you're wasting your time. Anyway there's a SAO movie coming up, maybe it'll save the name. My hopes aren't high tho.
