If Boruto just started the academy, then he's really young. He's 12 in the Boruto Movie, so he must be 8~10

I don't really understand what you are saying but, Boruto said he learned the kage bunshin (up to 3) without training. He also showed the same feat during the Gaiden before he graduated the academy.

So he pretty much has had this jutsu for years and never improved it until Sasuke told him to. So he isn't a 'hard worker', but he's Prodigy nevertheless.

Anyway, there was an TV special where Kishimoto 'approved' of the first anime Arc. I don't know if this means it is canon or not, but that's what it implies. I'll probably make a thread on it later.

Apparently it is confirmed in the video that "Kishimoto sensei is involved in the original story (the academy days story that Boruto begins) of Boruto anime. Kishimoto sensei has looked at and approved everything. "

i still believe it is byakugan dough, as tenseigan should be more bluer. Other possibilities is that he just create a new doujutsu but i don't think kishi into this sht even more.
