Its already been said that the yata mirror along with the totsuka sword are legendary weapons, seriously?. Such failure is too much, now come on.

Anyway allow me to dig into you.
Firstly its already been established that the yata mirror is a legendary weapon which neutralises all attacks. Meaning if an opponent uses fire, it would neutralise it with water.

Now the example you gave about RS infused with chidori is a fail. That wouldnt work. Infact since its an s-rank wind tech and chidori is an A rank lightning tech it would merely render chidori ineffective.

You shouldve said something like water and earth= mokouton. Or fire, wind and earth= dust release. You quoted what itachi said that every ninjutsu has a weakness. We also know that the yata mirror changes according to the ninjutsu, if this is true and every ninjutsu has a weakness, is it fair to say that dust release and mokouton does, if so is it fair to say that going by how the yata mirror works it would change according to the weakness of the ninjutsu

I agree. Its only effective against attacks that apply force.
Attacks such as swamp of the underworld, poison and banshou tennin would render it useless.
