Itachi's Tsukuyomi on Kakashi may have been justified.

A lot of people bash Itachi for torturing Kakashi for 3 days in the technique.

But Itachi was probably just being cautious.

Had Itachi not taken out Kakahi immediately, he may have been Kamui sniped.


The only way to take Kakashi out so quickly without actually killing him was to torture him severely in Tsukuyomi.

Itachi, being the master of MS, probably had a hunch that Kakashi had a one shot jutsu.( Typical for MS)

MS is dangerous. MS has so many one shot techs. Itachi knows Kakashi lost a friend getting that eye. Itachi proabably guessed that Kakashi has a good percentage chance of having MS.

Sure he might not have known about Kamui, but MS oneshots in general so Itachi had to take Kakashi out just in case Kakashi has a one shot tech.

Even without Anime, basic logic says there is a good probability that Kakashi had MS.

MS is lethal, even for Itachi if he is careful.

You guys are clearly not getting what I am saying.

There is no way for Itachi to be 100% sure that Kakashi had MS.

But it's still smart to be cautious as if Kakashi did.

That is my main point.

It's shown when Kakashi and Yamato fight each other in Orochimaru's laboratory that Kakashi has the unofficial nickname of 'Friend-killer' Kakashi. My memory is sorta hazy, but I'm pretty sure that an Anbu member told this to Itachi as well.

So Itachi, as the Uchiha Clan heir and possessor of the Mangekyo Sharingan, he probably considered that Kakashi had the Mangekyo. And it is shown that Kakashi unlocked the Mangekyo after killing Rin, but he passed out from Chakra Exhaustion and had no knowledge of unlocking it.

So while Kakashi didn't use the Mangekyo before he fought Deidara, he still had it, which was why Itachi targeted him first. You honestly think Itachi would let Kakashi blast off MS techniques?
