i didn't ask you to reply but thanks for wasting my 10 minutes to read it. minato has no experience in fighting the uchihas like itachi, he has not seen the susanoo and he doesn't know how to counter tsukyomi so he doesn't know thier abilities. and if kakashi and even sakura was able to figure out the ability of warping objects into other dimension then obviously itachi would have figured it out too and then thought of some way to counter it.

If minato didnt know anything about Uchihas then how did he conclude(although it was wrong) that masked man could be madara,this definitely means he knew about Uchiha and their abilities.....
Even if itachi figures out how dimension techniques work,how is he supposed to reach the other dimension to attack Minato
If Itachi uses Yasaka Magatama or amaterasu,minato can teleport them to other dimension and throw back at him as they r samller than bijuudama(like minato transported kyuubis bijuudama and it reqd. A lot of chakra)
Minato is extremely fast at sealing techniques as seen in his fight with B,totsuka blade and elemental techniques will hardly damage him
Even if amaterasu hits minato,he can send it to other dimension(like tobi did)
He can use gamabunta to crush susanoo
Yata mirror can provide defense upfront and hemce minato can move behind using raijin and hit from behind
And as for genjutsu,this is an assumption but most probably correct,seeing as to how he is a kage level jounin,he must hv trained himself in some way to defeat genjutsu,he is a hokage,after all......
Also,he can always use reaper death seal which is pretty fast(3rd wasnt fast as he was old and so reaper death seal wasnt fast)....source-Wiki

Nagato has more destructive power, but if he was to fight Itachi, he'd lose.
Ninjutsu don't work on him thanks to his ability to absorb chakra, and he's fairly safe from taijutsu due to having no blind spots, but he has no protection against genjutsu.The six bodies and his summons having a linked field of vision mean that you need to cast a genjutsu on only one of them to trap them all.
That makes Itachi - arguably the best genjutsu user in the whole series - the worst possible match for him.
His strongest attacks (Shinra Tensei/Bansho Ten'in and Chibaku Tensei) wouldn't work because Susanoo anchors its user to the ground so he can;t be pulled/pushed around.
As Kabuto stated, Nagato isn't very mobile, which leaves him quite vulnerable to being sealed away by the Sword of Totsuka.Other than that, Itachi has Tsukuyomi, Kotoamatsukami (if they're fighting before him talking with Naruto) and Izanami.

WRONG.

1. it has been proven that even if the 6paths senses are link, genjutsu will not affect all of them at once.. ever saw jiraiya fight? frog song affect their sense of hearing which is ALSO link like his eyes, but only 3 of them where affected who actually heard the song personally. that gives you a huge hint that visual/or any other kind of genjutsu will not work on all of them at once.

2. lol chibaku tensei will not work because of susanoo anchoring to the ground? big fail, he can anchor to the ground all he wants but the ground itself will be teared apart. he'll get crushed like a bug like it or not. this goes the same as shinra tensei and bansho tenin, both are powerful enough to tear the ground apart.

3. tsukuyomi again would be a waste if nagato will sense before itachi can cast is, just like how he sensed amaterasu.

4. as for koto and izanami: we don't know fully about what can he do with that of shisui's eyes, whether he can use it whenever he wants or he needs to program it before he use it, if you can tell us how he can use it in the battle then we can have a debate for that. izanami on the other hand, coming from itachi's mouth himself, is useless in battle. he'll die before he can use that if he is not an edo.

ever wonder why itachi didn't use genjutsu against nagato's shared vision when he saved bee and naruto? we all know itachi ALWAYS use genjutsu with all of his fights, so why not against nagato? hmm??? lol

it took a free EDO Itachi and two perfect jinchuurki to fight against a CONTROLLED Nagato, and even then itachi shouldnt have been able to see the king of hell let alone blind the chakra manifestation with kunai -.- the rinnegan is also the progenitor of itachi's eyes and nagato has a body well suited for it, meaning tht genjutsu would most likely not work, itachi never even tried on nagato despite having plenty of chances to do so and it being his signature technique.

as to minato, in the maybe three chapters he was screened he made more feats than itachi did while alive, while showing nowhere near his full arsenal. he knows how to fight against sharingan users given how he fought obito after he had pulled the kyuubi from his control, and speed is the bane of the sharingan as shown over and over, and there's no one faster than minato. tsukuyomi takes time to activate, itachi has to close his eyes, activate the ms and make eye contact, not ideal against someone who you can't even let touch you. amaterasu is useless because it's easily sensed and can be dodged, teleported away from or sealed by minato. yasanaka magatama can be avoided by teleportation or the space time barrier. and the totsuka sword has only hit two characters who were completely unable to move, let alone dodge, so i don't imagine it will be hitting minato. itachi's speed, strength and stamina are also inferior to minato's, and the intellect is roughly equal, so his best shot is tsukuyomi which can be countered through multidirectional speed and teleporting and clones, while itachi has to avoid the slightest contact from minato and that assuming he has full knowledge of ftg which not even his students had.
